We are deeply saddened by the passing of James "Jim" Everatt.
A dedicated breeder, entrepreneur, and CTHS member for more than 50 years, Jim devoted his life to the Canadian Thoroughbred industry. Alongside his late wife, Janeane Everatt, he built Shannondoe Farm into one of Canada's most respected breeding operations.
Known for his strong work ethic, vision, and unwavering commitment to quality, Jim helped shape a breeding program that earned the respect of horsepeople across Canada and beyond. His contributions to the Thoroughbred industry and the legacy he built through Shannondoe Farm will be remembered for generations.
On behalf of the CTHS, we extend our heartfelt condolences to board member Arika Everatt-Meeuse, her family, and all who knew and loved Jim.
