While in orbit, the crew conducted scientific research designed to advance both human health on Earth and our understanding of human health during future long-duration spaceflights.
At approximately 700 kilometres above the Earth, the crew realised the first-ever commercial extravehicular activity (EVA) with SpaceX-designed extravehicular activity (EVA) spacesuits. Building a base on the Moon and a city on Mars will require thousands of spacesuits.
Reaching the highest Earth orbit ever flown, through portions of the Van Allen radiation belt. A series of experiments with the aim of better understanding the effects of spaceflight and space radiation on human health were carried out.
In 2024, SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket launched the Polaris Dawn mission from historic Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Dragon and the Polaris Dawn crew spent five days in orbit.

“These 4 points then radiate waves that are arrested three dimensionally as they converge in the centre of the seat pan and translated into a pressed metal alloy which becomes strengthened by the tessellated surface. This wave convergence is symbolic of the 4 astronauts, their unity and becoming one for this mission.”
“The launch of the Falcon rocket creates a shock way that is an invisible ring that passes over its tubular body in flight. I have taken this data and translated it into a frequency that is passed through the frame of the GO Chair creating 4 distinct polarised focus points in each corner of the seat.” @RossLovegroveX
