“This isn’t just about losing a job — it’s about losing stability, dignity, and a future families were building.”
1,000s of Sky staff were blindsided with redundancy, with no real consultation, no union support, & no respect. These are the people who kept customers connected
🛑Now they’re being cut adrift, with livelihoods and mental health on the line. We’re calling for transparency, fairness, and accountability.
✊Stand with the workers behind the service.
📢 2,000 jobs. Zero consultation.
@SkyUK told customers they could control their TV with their voice — but ignored the voices of loyal staff.
We believed in better. Sky didn’t.

“Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.”
@SkyUK right — they don’t need staff, either.
Cutting 2,000 workers isn’t transformation. It’s abandonment.
2,000 jobs. Zero consultation.
@SkyUK “transformation” came without warning, fairness, or dignity. We’re calling for answers. And we’ve made it easy for you to do the same. #WeBelievedinBetter

👀 This is a very poor way to deal with redundancies @SkyUK Why turn your back on proper consultation and meaningful support, do the right thing by those who've given years of service. Your customers are workers too you know!

You can’t automate care. You can’t outsource experience.

✉️ Stand with Sky staff — tell your MP it’s not good enough.

24/7 support sounds great — unless you're the one being cut. Sky promises non-stop service across all channels. But behind the screens, call centres are shutting down, experienced staff are out, and workers are left in silence.

🚨 TRANSPARENCY MATTERS. CONSULTATION MUST BE REAL.
@SkyUK says it's following due process — but it’s withholding key evidence, including a 12,000-customer survey used to justify 2,000 job cuts. That undermines the entire process. UK law requires full, fair consultation.

Hundreds of staff at @SkyUK’s Stockport site are facing redundancy. 2,000 to be exact.
❌ With little warning
❌no consultation
❌ no fair plan
Sky said they Believe in Better but maybe start your staff who deserve fairness, dignity and transparency.

Unfortunately, our repeated efforts to engage @SkyUK in meaningful dialogue around alternatives to compulsory redundancies have been met with silence. This lack of cooperation is making it even more difficult to support our members through an already stressful process.
Thank you @NavPMishra for supporting “The loss of jobs will have a lasting effect - not just on the individuals involved, but on families and the wider economy across Greater Manchester.” #BelievedinBetter
