hilariously sad to me that all that it took to kill “blue no matter” who was two muslim guys getting nominations

Trump: I could have won the Vietnam War in a week. They kept bombing forests for years instead of going after Ho Chi Minh City.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Ho Chi Minh City was called Saigon during the Vietnam War and was the capital of US-allied South Vietnam; North Vietnam's capital was Hanoi. britannica.com/place/Ho-Chi-M… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fall_of_S… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ho_Chi_Mi…

The good news, now that Stevens and the Israel crybully lobby has dropped the liberal kayfabe, we can officially retire the fake “divided democrats” nonstory as all the pretense of organic internal divisions has been dropped and it’s clear it’s a AIPAC-led zionist disciplining op
I wrote about the wholly manufactured narrative “Dems are struggling to unite behind El-Sayed”. El-Sayed has more party unity than Jocelyn Benson, Roy Cooper, Sherrod Brown and is on par with Josh Shapiro and Mike Rogers—so why is he the only candidate hounded by this narrative?

there, of course, is no meaningful "dem frustration" with El-Sayed. NYT reported today he has 96% support from Dem voters in Michigan. The "frustration" is coming entirely from a small group of bad faith, solipsistic crybabies who are, as it turns out, Republicans in any event.
If you haven’t been reading @jewishinsider coverage of the Michigan Senate race, you wouldn’t be understanding how we got to this remarkable moment in U.S. politics right now. Dem frustration with El-Sayed has been bubbling for months…

It’s easier said than done but people should not seek leadership positions in leftist movements if they are not prepared to die for their cause We should not have lower standards for female leaders than for male leaders. No excuses for Delcy’s cowardly and dishonorable conduct

Former Israeli military intelligence officer: “[Iran] is artificial state and what will happen with Iran is exactly what happened with the Soviet Union… its fate is to be dismantled, is to be shattered to pieces, as it should have been from the beginning.” Their goal is to destroy Iran as a nation, they don’t hide it.

The guy who compared a Trump rally to Jonestown on live Fox News was invited by the Trump campaign. They called his work phone on Monday and asked him to come. His name is Tom Hoyle. He's 57 and runs a small custom printing shop in Charlotte called MadPark Designs with his business partner. He's hated Trump since 1989, back when he was a sophomore in college. And he really, really doesn't like getting sales calls on the shop line, from anybody. So when the rally people called, he said yes. He even signed up with his real name and contact info, because he wanted it on the record that they invited him. Then he had to get through the door. A private security guy asked him straight up if he was a Trump supporter. Tom told him he supports the Constitution, then started talking about his shirt, which was for an old death metal band called Death. He kept going about the history of Florida death metal until the guard gave up and let him in. His plan going in was honestly pretty juvenile. He and a buddy he grew up with figured he'd wait a few minutes into the speech and yell something filthy. Then a Fox News reporter, Lucas Tomlinson, found him standing off by himself and asked if he could interview him live. Tom thinks a white guy with a big beard and a ball cap was pretty much exactly what they were looking for. He told himself he wasn't going to cuss on national TV, so he made it up on the spot. He says the first line and then just waits. The reporter goes "Wait, the Jonestown Massacre?" and that's when he finishes it. He told The Handbasket he picked that up from Billy Crystal, who said on Letterman back in the '80s that you always let the other guy set up your punchline. Tomlinson set it up for him perfectly. A few minutes later some men who said they were Secret Service pulled him aside. He asked if this was about the concession stand, because it closed early and he was starving. They didn't love that and walked him out. On his way out he passed the guard from the front door and told him, hey man, you didn't vet me too well. Think about how many people had a shot at stopping this. The campaign's call list found him. The signup form had his name. A guard questioned him to his face. A Fox crew put him on live TV. Every one of them took one look at the beard and the hat and filled in the rest. That's how almost all of this screening works. Asking somebody what they actually believe takes time, and looking at them takes a second, so everybody just looks. The one check that actually caught him came after he'd already said it on national TV.
Fox: Why are you here this morning? Trump rally attendee: Well, in the late 70s, I was a little too young to go to South America for the Jonestown Massacre. But this is as close as I'll ever get, so that's why I'm here. There's nothing like seeing a cult right up front.

Every time an African country elects a government that tries to keep more of its own resources, Western media discovers a "democracy deficit." Every time an Asian nation builds technology that competes with Western products, Western governments discover a "security threat." Every time a Latin American country charts an economic path outside the Washington Consensus, Western financial institutions discover a "stability risk." The pattern is precise and it has been precise for two centuries. The West is not afraid of authoritarian governments. It has funded dozens of them. The West is not afraid of economic mismanagement. It has imposed structural adjustment programs that produced exactly that. What produces the alarm, the specific, urgent, editorial-board-meeting alarm, is independence. A poor country making its own choices with its own resources for its own people without asking permission. That is the danger. That has always been the danger. Everything else is the vocabulary chosen to describe it in ways that don’t require honesty.

The British starved Ireland and then cited Irish poverty as evidence of Irish inferiority. The Belgians extracted the Congo’s resources for a century and then cited Congolese underdevelopment as evidence that Africans needed to be governed. The Americans sanctioned Cuba for 66 years and then cited Cuban economic difficulties as evidence that socialism doesn’t work. The structure is the same. It has always been the same. You remove the conditions necessary for success. You wait. You point. You conclude. The only thing that changes across centuries and continents is who’s being pointed at.

This isn’t a “reform”; it’s a hostile takeover. The US kidnaps Maduro, installs a puppet, and suddenly the country’s assets are on the auction block for Western corporations. This is the textbook definition of a neo-colonial sellout.

The 4HW era had already dramatically shifted the pay ceiling for a top woman in wrestling. Mercedes going to AEW broke the ceiling altogether. There’s a reason the women of that era and their immediate successors (Iyo, Rhea, Bianca) stopped being positioned as main event level.
You guys don't understand the irreparable damage Mercedes Moné did when she signed with AEW. It's bigger than stanning a wrestler.

Dave Meltzer wrote this about Steve Austin, after watching him at Halloween Havoc in October 1991, 35 years ago this week: "If there is anyone in the US with the potential to be the next Ric Flair, as a total all-around performer, it’s Austin because he’s so advanced and has incredible presence and ability for two years in the business"

People in my mentions calling me a misogynistic man with a porn addiction over this, which just proves my point.
Restrictions on porn are genuinely such an insidious trojan horse for mass censorship because if you try to speak out against it, people on both sides of the political aisle will just write you off as a pervert.

Venture Bros probably is my favorite show of all time but it’s so hard to recommend to people, like it’s kind of a dated Johnny Quest parody for a season or two and the best character gets replaced for awhile by a sympathetic pedophile lol but it’s fucking amazing

Omg, Aang tells someone who isn't an airbending master that she can't have airbending master tattoos, how DARE he 😭😭
I am not saying the acolytes were right to tattoo themselves, just that Aang specifically rejected them for not being airbenders. He even neglected his non-airbending children to focus exclusively on Tenzin because he only cared about the airbending, not spreading the teachings

you’re fighting a strawman. No Marxist wants to literally recreate the Soviet Union in the United Stares, it was the product of a specific time in a certain country. Condemning a country that collapsed almost 40 years ago and objectively was a net positive for humanity for a decent chunk of its existence while living in a country that has slavery and kidnapping as government policy is certainly a choice.
