On October 17, 2026, Israeli army soldiers shot and wounded 8-year-old Palestinian girl Fatima Hisham al-Bayouk on al-Mazraa Street, east of Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip.
Today, she died of her wounds.
Fatima was the sole survivor of her family after Israeli bombing killed her entire family in late 2023. Today, she joins them.

🚨 Reem Asaad Awad, a 33-year-old mother, was killed when an Israeli airstrike hit her family's apartment in Gaza City's Rimal neighborhood around 4am Wednesday, setting the building on fire. Videos circulating online show her young daughter being pulled out of the burning apartment.
Footage from inside the apartment shows the girl sitting alone on a bed as smoke fills the room and fire burns the wall above her. In another shot she presses her hand to her mouth, eyes wide with terror.
Israel said it was targeting a Hamas member but has provided no evidence.
