The Right to Protect doctrine - R2P - was used to justify #NATO’s intervention in #Kosovo in 1999. Why? Ethnic Albanians were being ethnically cleansed by #Serbia’s forces. Fast forward 23 years. The same is happening now in #Ukraine The West and NATO are weak and fear #Putin

Following #Russia's attack on a civil nuclear facility in #Ukraine overnight, and the complete absence of any meaningful response from the 'West', it's clear to me that #NATO's strategy is to sacrifice Ukraine and hope sanctions lead to the downfall of #Putin (next)...

💕to #RaulJimenez and family. Why is football so far behind rugby on this serious issue?
All our thoughts are with Raul Jimenez, his family and teammates right now. No doubt there will be lots more talk about concussion subs in football, but right now let’s just focus our thoughts on Raul. @Wolves

Glandular fever in ‘88 and finally diagnosed with CFS/M.E. in ‘93, and then Fibromyalgia. 32yrs on, I cannot remember feeling well. Anyone with “long term” Covid has my sympathy but I cannot help a wry smile at the description. May we all now receive the help/support we deserve.
M.E. is no joke. A prison of an illness, stripping life slowly away. A fatigue that is indescribable for sufferers to get across. Long Covid is finally drawing some attention to it. But a long way to go for sufferers to be understood and helped. #LongCovid #MECFS

UNDER A FEATHERED SKY: The untold story of NATO's role in newly independent Kosovo Join @KCLSecurity for the launch of @ClewlowAJ's publication providing a unique, first-hand account of transition, 21 Oct 6-7:30pm, chaired by @MartinBricknell Register: ow.ly/uuvZ50BOeJZ
Privileged to have read a prepublication copy of #underafeatheredsky and so very proud of @ClewlowAJ To write, and have published, a book is, in itself, an enormous achievement but the story of #underafeatheredsky, takes this to another level.

🎬 Delight in rare footage of Barbara Hepworth at work. Narration from Poet Laureate Cecil Day Lewis coupled with Priaulx Rainier's haunting score complement Hepworth's evocative art works, in Cornwall's rugged coastlines & moorland. Find it at player.bfi.org.uk/free/film/…

A sacred site showing 46,000 years of continual occupation and it's completely legal to blow it up. Archeologist Dr Michael Slack said it was a once-in-a-lifetime discovery. “How significant does something have to be, to be valued by wider society?” theguardian.com/australia-ne…

The 'THIS IS IMPORTANT' print symposium @HeongGallery exceeded expectations; in particular, for me, captivating talks from Peter Griffin and @CalinescuAlex, with the chance to get close to some lovely work from Peter, Alex and Jim Butler.
Very much looking forward to the 'THIS IS IMPORTANT' print symposium @HeongGallery tomorrow: exploring the creative partnership of artist and printer and accompanying 'Kip Gresham: The Art of Collaboration', on at the gallery now.
