Literally zero drip except a watch every other NYC bro has. Plain white tee with zero branding. Throwing dots into the crowd. Drake Maye is exactly who you want your franchise quarterback to be.

I feel sorry for the English fans that spent their own money to come down here. The English fans here are the ones left. Dripping on hope. Love you guys #RLWC2026

Congratulations to Richard Kettleborough 🙌 The first English umpire to stand in 100 Test matches, a fantastic achievement 👏

RL and more specifically the @NRL has a way of keeping itself in the news. It’s a constant cycle. Some good, some bad and plenty of unsubstantiated rubbish. I feel it’s going to be a looooong off season of mostly rubbish.

Nathan Lyon bowling in the 10th over with a brand new ball!!! This sums up the miserable state of Australian cricket right now under a miserable captain!

Aaron Rodgers sat at that podium in Paris and said out loud what the corporate league office spends millions trying to sanitize. The NFL talks endlessly about “player safety” and “expanding the global game.” But behind closed doors, owners scrapped player-friendly bye weeks, forced a brutal 17th regular-season game, and shipped franchises across oceans simply because there was another dollar to squeeze out of foreign TV markets. While families and players navigate locked-down streets, civil tension, and grueling travel schedules, ownership sits in five-star suites counting international expansion checks. Rodgers doesn't care about league fines anymore. He’s telling you the truth: in the modern NFL, the brand and the balance sheet come first. The humans on the field come second.

They haven't been able to beat us since the early 70's in any of the competitions. The Ashes are boring because they are inept. I'd rather play nations that are competitive.

If you look at the last WC, if the 8 teams who made the QFs played for the World Cup and the 8 that didn’t played for a the emerging nations WC, you would have had less blowouts and they would have been completed in 5 weekends not 6.

Hold them in opposite hemispheres so the games don’t clash for tv. Sell both series together with the women’s and wheelchair comps.

💯- and in my opinion, nothing to be gained by 70+ point drubbings. If anything, it drives away interest and reduces desire to fund development IMO. If they want to make it “fair”, let the emerging nation / second tier winner playoff against the established / first tier winner

Two factors that are exacerbating the scorelines: 1) Playing under NRL rules versus International rules. 2) +/- being so important in Pools B&C. Both those factors have added 20 to the scorelines. Not just France it's hurting, PNG also conceded over 60pts today.

Ben Johnson on the hard fought battle between #Patriots QB Drake Maye and Bears QB Caleb Williams: “It felt like it was a little bit back and forth there for a while. Just watching Drake Maye play, I mean, he’s an outstanding player. It’s very hard to bottle him up. You only rush four, and he finds a way. If he doesn’t see anything down the field, he’ll find an open gap and skirt on through. I think what’s really impressive is how he can find these little outlets and these dumps where they’re still running vertical for catch-and-run opportunities. I think they had a number of those tonight. It’s really effective. You can tell he’s kinda caught his rhythm now at this part of the season and will probably continue to do that.” (🎥 @ChicagoBears)

Switzerland is planning a $500 million football stadium with a roller coaster wrapped around its exterior. Named Cervin Coliseum, the proposed stadium in Sion will feature 21,000 seats, a retractable roof, an 80-room hotel, and facilities for concerts and other major events. Its most unusual feature is a roller coaster planned to wind around part of the building, designed to attract visitors even when no football matches are taking place. Designed by Christian Constantin SA, the project has been submitted to local authorities for preliminary review, with completion targeted for 2030. The stadium is still in the planning stage, and construction has not yet been approved. Rendering: Christian Constantin SA / FC Sion.

Rugby Union is in its worst position ever in Wales, clubs dying and thousands of fans left without a club. So instead of investing in Wales what do @TheRFL do? Make it near impossible for RL to exist in the country and kick the only Welsh team out of the league! Well done you idiots!
North Wales' owners say they've pulled out of the 2027 Championship and have been 'failed' by the RFL. Governing body asked for £150,000 in an escrow, club complied, showed proof of funding ~£500k but still no licence given. So decision made to pull out. loverugbyleague.com/post/rfl…

For decades RU people have been quick to point out that they are different codes (usually as a precursor to RL is the inferior and only played in 2 states of AUS & a few ENG villages) now a team based in PNG will confuse superior RU minds in NZ? It’s as odd as it is funny!

Just on the players who don't sing the national anthem. I have heard numerous players across many years say they were so emotional as the anthem was played, they just couldn't sing. They were trying not to cry they were so proud in that moment of their lives. #RugbyLeague #NRL
