Everything you need to know about Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: 🟢 Ubisoft officially revealed the artwork and logo in March 2026. 🟢 The initial name was Codenamed Obsidian. 🟢 The official title will now be “Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.” 🟢 Ubisoft Singapore is leading the development of the remake, while Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Bordeaux, and Ubisoft Belgrade are the supporting studios. 🟢 The remake removes the modern day and replaces them with more content in Edward’s pirate era (a few extra hours compared to the original). 🟢 Gameplay will shift closer to the RPG-style of newer AC games. 🟢 Loot and gear stats for Edward 🟢 Inventory systems 🟢 Combat leaning toward the RPG style rather than the choreographed combat of the original. 🟢 RPG aspects were planned to have a bigger role but it has been reduced through development. 🟢 No loading screens when moving between ship and land 🟢 Map is not bigger, but islands will be filled with more activities and side content. 🟢 Expected to include cut content from the original, like parts of Mary Read’s storyline that were dropped in 2013. 🟢 It’s not on the same “big budget remake” level as Resident Evil 2 or Silent Hill 2, but more of a faithful reimagining with updates. 🟢 Uses Ubisoft’s new Anvil Pipeline engine (same as AC Shadows). 🟢 They are reusing some assets from Skull & Bones to cut costs, but it won’t be obvious to players. 🟢 Weather effects similar to those of AC Shadows. 🟢 Last year Edward Kenway voice actor hints at Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake during a signature signing. 🟢 Gameplay sent to Insider Gaming in 2024 of the Black Flag Resynced shows Edward Kenway sailing a ship on the upgraded Anvil Engine. 🟢 Last year, official statue merchandise makers for Assassin’s Creed Purearts also hinted at the Black Flag Remake. 🟢 The PEGI rating and website were leaked in December 2025. 🟢 A new Edward Kenway statue was leaked in January 2026, and the official Assassin's Creed account commented on my post. 🟢 A new Black Flag Remaster art book was leaked on a website mentioning a July 2026 release date. 🟢 The Black Flag Resynced internal beta phase took place in September 2025. 🟢 The first official sign of the announcement came during Ubisoft’s earnings report in November 2025, where one “unannounced game” was stated to be releasing before the end of the company’s fiscal year. 🟢 The game was previously scheduled to release in March 2026, according to internal marketing documents seen by Insider Gaming, but was delayed due to Ubisoft's recent restructuring. 🟢 RELEASE DATE: Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced might be revealed in mid-April and could be released in summer 2026.
