Dear Calgarians,
which do you prefer? Long showers & being able to flush a toilet whenever you please? Or having bike lanes, public art & a library overrun with homeless people?
Think of that when casting a provincial ballot next year.
The man who prioritized fluff while neglecting core infrastructure needs now wants to run the entire province.

Thank you 🙏 Can you please make a separate, several even, new posts about this. The planet is spending billions on ‘climate’ junk science. People are soaking it in. Number #1 issue for corrupt governments like #EU & #MarkCarney
A beatdown of a climatard. – at Winnipeg, Manitoba
Shut up, 51st stater. ✋
I am a degreed meteorologist, barf muffin. I have taken TWO climate dynamics courses. A's in both.
Also, “climate science” is not a real physical science. If you need to append “science” to a discipline, then it's not real science. That includes political “science,” behavioral “science,” and climate “science.” The latter is akin to astrology.
Tinkering with numerical computer models (fantasy simulations) that will print output contingent on the quality of input data and your parameterization assumptions isn't science. Making up data (which is what NOAA and NASA do over large swaths of land area with few in-situ observations, primarily in Africa and at the poles) is not science.
Real science involves taking physical measurements to observe real world state variables and build datasets from scratch to describe their statistics and the variability in them over time. Then, you look at that data and interrogate it by asking questions. I do that every day with meteorological climate data. That's called “climatology,” and few so-called climate “scientists” do that. Most of these academics sit in their offices and play with computer simulations and accomplish nothing of merit.
Regarding extreme weather trends, for the most part, there has been no measurable increase or decrease in it over the last 35 to 100 years.
Tropical cyclones are not becoming more frequent or intense globally (regional basin-wide increases, such as in the Atlantic are just due to natural multi-decadal variability) since 1990 (Knutson et al., 2019; Klotzbach et al., 2022, see the first image I attached below). Global tropical cyclone rapid intensification events have not increased either since 1990 (NOAA HURDAT2; JWTC best-track archive, see the second image).

🔗agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.…
Tornadoes in the U.S. have not become more frequent or intense since 1954. In fact, strong-to-violent (EF2+) tornadoes have decreased by ~45% since the 1960s. The post-1990 increase in U.S. tornado outbreaks is primarily an artifact of increased detection of smaller, weaker tornadoes thanks to (a) rural population expansion and (b) the advent of the WSR-88D radar in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
🔗repository.library.noaa.gov/…
Meteorological droughts have not increased globally either since 1950 (Vicente-Serrano et al., 2022). Increases in agricultural and hydrological droughts, however, have been documented, but are primarily regional and caused by (a) land use change and (b) poor water resource management.
🔗royalsocietypublishing.org/r…
River floods have not increased in frequency either in the U.S. or globally since the 1960s, but there are regional and local increases and decreases within the bounds of natural variability.
Long-term trends in river floods are usually evaluated by looking at river and streamflow from river / stream gauges. This can be evaluated by looking at the flux of water passing by a fixed point, and we measure this in units of cubic feet per second (ft³ / sec).
With respect to river flooding trends, IPCC AR6 WG1 states in Chapter 11 that,
🗨️ “Peak flow trends are characterized by high regional variability and lack overall statistical significance of a decrease or an increase over the globe as a whole. Of more than 3,500 streamflow stations in the USA, central and Northern Europe, Africa, Brazil, and Australia, 7.1% stations showed a significant increase, and 11.9% stations showed a significant decrease in annual maximum peak flow during 1961–2005.”
With respect to attributing flooding trends to human influence, the IPCC states,
🗨️ “In summary there is low confidence in the human influence on the changes in high river flows on the global scale. In general, there is low confidence in attributing changes in the probability or magnitude of flood events to human influence...”
🔗ipcc.ch/report/ar6/wg1/downl… (pp. 1568–69)
Recent streamflow data from USGS river and stream gauges affirm the IPCC’s synthesis in that river floods, at least in the U.S., have neither increased nor decreased since 1960.
The map I made below (third image attached) shows the change in the magnitude of river flooding in the Lower 48 since 1960. The triangle-shaped markers show the annual linear trend in peak river flows (ft³ / sec) from 1960 to 2025 for all 425 USGS river and stream gauges having at least 95% completeness over the 66-year period.
Only ~5.2% of gauges show a statistically significant increase in river floods and ~5.9% show a significant decrease. The rest are not statistically significant in either direction, so overall the trend isn’t statistically different from zero.
With respect to flash flooding IPCC AR6 says,
🗨️ “[H]eavier rainfall does not always lead to greater flooding. This is because flooding also depends upon the type of river basin, the surface landscape, the extent and duration of the rainfall, and how wet the ground is before the rainfall event... A mix of both increases and decreases in [flash] flooding have been observed in some regions...”
🔗ipcc.ch/report/ar6/wg1/downl… (p. 8)
Again, any regional trends are within the bounds of internal variability.
Finally, global wildfire burn area, including that from forest fires, have not increased since at least 2002, based on satellite data from NASA.

If increases have been predicted by experts for many decades, well they're batting zero.

Been watching the Canadian reaction to the US midterms, and once again Canadians reveal how little they understand about US politics and how the outside world operates. So let me help you with a few important bits of information:
House Democrats do not have the power to roll back tariffs on Canada. Tariffs are an executive order.
China is the one issue both Democrats and Republicans unanimously agree on.
Democrats have already stated they have no plan to roll back tariffs on Canada should they win the presidency in two years (because.... China).
Trump holds veto power over the house.
So nothing changes. But I'm sure you got a tingle in your teenie commie weenies watching Democrats sweep the midterms. And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this more than likely means the US government will grind to a halt while Democrats focus on impeachments and Trump's focus shifts toward internal strife—which means life in Canada will stay the way it is at best or get even harder at worse since we still do a considerable amount of trade with the US.
Congratulations on your victory, Canada.
As always, elbows up, retards!

Surely after this article, completely invalidating man-made climate change, the net-zero policy in Canada will immediately cancelled.
Fat chance!
97% of CO2 emissions are natural. Human activity, all of it is 3%. CO2 makes up 0.04% of the atmosphere, 3% is not doing anything.

Barack Obama, Known as Barry, Exposes the Soul of the Democrat Party with His Cheesecake Factory Racism
Barack Obama is the filthiest, most dangerous fraud to ever occupy the White House, a slick-tonged, race-baiting con artist who spent eight years dividing this nation and has spent the years since trying to destroy anyone who stands in his way.
He is a dirty rat who crawled out of the shadows of Chicago politics to sell a lie to the American people, a lie that he is some kind of benevolent genius when in reality he is a incompetent, racist, and power-hungry failure who left our country weaker, poorer, and more divided than he found it. And now, this pathetic loser has the audacity to open his mouth again, spewing his venomous lies from a stage in Ohio, trying to pretend he cares about the very people he has abandoned.
Let us look at the facts, because Obama certainly does not:
This man, who claims to be so concerned about "democracy" and "norms," just spent his latest rally mocking the President of the United States with the kind of racist, classist rhetoric that would get any other politician canceled in a heartbeat. He stood in Cleveland, Ohio, a state he knows nothing about and cares even less for, and compared the White House renovations to "Saddam Hussein opening a Cheesecake Factory." Let that sink in. The first black President of the United States, a man who built his entire brand on being a civil rights icon, just compared the American presidency to a brutal Iraqi dictator and a cheesy American restaurant chain. It is racist, it is classist, and it is utterly disgusting. He is mocking the idea of American grandeur, mocking the idea of a strong presidency, and mocking the very people who believe in making America great again.
But this is who Obama is. He is a man who has spent his entire career attacking anyone who dares to challenge his narrative. He attacked the Trump administration for everything, from its immigration policies to its economic success, all while his own administration was a revolving door of scandals, corruption, and failure. He tried to destroy Trump with the Russia hoax, a complete and total fabrication that wasted billions of dollars and years of time, only to find nothing. He tried to undermine the 2016 election results, the 2020 election results, and now the 2024 election results, because he cannot accept that the American people do not want his socialist agenda. He is a sore loser, a bitter man who cannot stand the fact that his legacy is one of failure and division.
Let us talk about his record, because it is a disaster. Under Obama, we saw the rise of ISIS, a terrorist organization that he mocked as being on the "JV team." We saw the Benghazi attack, where four Americans were killed while he played golf. We saw the IRS scandal, where his administration targeted political opponents. We saw the Fast and Furious scandal, where his administration walked guns into Mexico. We saw the VA scandal, where veterans were left to die while waiting for care. And we saw the creation of Obamacare, a healthcare law that has driven up costs, reduced coverage, and destroyed the American healthcare system. He is a man who has failed on every single issue he has ever touched, yet he has the audacity to lecture us on competence.
And now he wants to talk about the economy? This is the man who presided over the slowest economic recovery in history, a recovery that only happened after Trump took office and dismantled his destructive policies. Obama's regulations crushed small businesses, his energy policies destroyed jobs, and his tax hikes hurt the very people he claims to care about. He is a man who has never created a job, never balanced a budget, and never achieved anything in the private sector. He is a professional politician, a parasite who feeds on the success of others while contributing nothing of value himself.
His racism is not subtle. It is not hidden. It is out in the open for everyone to see. He uses race as a weapon, a tool to divide and conquer, to pit Americans against each other for his own political gain. He is the one who stoked the flames of racial tension, who told minorities that they are victims, that they are oppressed, that they are powerless without him. He is the one who created the narrative of systemic racism, a narrative that has done more harm to minority communities than any policy in history. He is a racist who uses race to advance his own agenda, and he should be ashamed of himself.
The Cheesecake Factory remark is just the latest example of his complete and total lack of class, dignity, and respect for the office he once held. He is a man who has sunk to the lowest possible level, mocking the President and the American people with his pathetic jokes and his racist rhetoric. He is a man who has lost all credibility, all honor, and all shame. He is a disgrace to the office of the President, a disgrace to the Democratic Party (if you can get any lower than that), and a disgrace to the American people.
We must not let him forget. We must not let him off the hook. We must hold him accountable for every lie, every betrayal, every moment of treasonous behavior. We must expose him for the fraud he is, the liar he is, the absolute failure he is. He is a loser, a tool, a moron, and a traitor. He is everything wrong with Washington, everything wrong with the Democratic Party, and everything wrong with the radical left. He is a man who has spent his life trying to destroy America, and he will fail. The truth will come out. The lies will be exposed.
And Barack Obama will be left with nothing but the wreckage of his own pathetic, dishonest, and treasonous career. He is a man who has nothing to offer but lies, nothing to give but pain, and nothing to be but a warning of what happens when power goes unchecked and morality goes extinct. Barack Obama is a disgrace, and the world will be a better place when he is finally gone.
