Norway has become the first major country to propose a temporary ban on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) glasses in selected public places amid growing privacy concerns over wearable technology.
The Scandinavian country’s centre-left government said on Monday that it would introduce a law to parliament soon on a temporary ban for places such as parks, beaches, schools and kindergartens. It will also set up an expert group to propose permanent national rules.

Martin's talent is speaking as though he has just arrived in politics, is upset at the mess he has found & will do something about it in the future.
To listen to him, you'd never think this guy was first elected a TD in 1989 & has spent most of his life in government.
🇮🇪 Irish PM Micheál Martin tells me Ireland is “not overrun” by immigrants -- as nearly 1 in 4 residents are now foreign-born.
In an exclusive interview at Fox News in New York, I pressed the prime minister on immigration, asylum, crime, Ireland’s housing crisis — and the killing of Irish-American Jamey Carney. 🇺🇸
Martin acknowledged failures in Ireland’s asylum system, saying it “was too slow” in processing applications, but said the government has since accelerated applications and appeals.
On crime, @MichealMartinTD said he was open to publishing crime statistics by nationality, while pushing back on linking crime to nationality. 📊
“I’m not so sure that murder or crime is specific to any nationality, if I’m honest,” the Taoiseach said.
“I have no issue with data… As far as I’m concerned, data is important.”
Martin called it a “shocking, shocking murder” and said Ireland is looking at tightening its laws, including moving faster when asylum applications are rejected.
At the same time, Martin defended legal migration as “part of the Irish economic story,” pointing to Ireland’s expanding economy and demand for skilled workers from across the EU and beyond. 🇪🇺
🇺🇸 The comments come after President Trump warned during his Ireland visit about Europe’s approach to immigration.

A woman was raped in the car-park of Galway’s Railway Station last week by two Arabic men. The media have covered up their crime, as have all three opposition parties. Deliberate co-ordinated silence, on women's rights. Silence also from the Galway Mayor.

Time to cut top tax rates from the grossly disincentivising 52-55% rates that have been in place over the past two decades. Government taking more than half of everything anyone earns over €44,000 means less overtime and less extra business. No pro-enterprise government could countenance such punitive rates.
🗣️ “If we’re not going to cut taxes and restore them to pre-crisis levels, 18 years ago, we never will,” says @danobrien20.

At this point you just have to laugh. Months of headlines about tax breaks for workers are going to be a top priority for the govt and then it’s a paltry €1.5bn tax package compared to €7bn in new spending. Endless gaslighting of the public. Nothing but a bunch of jesters.

New Website Just Dropped.
This one tracks Ireland’s asylum and immigration statistics using interactive dashboards.
From IPAS spending to deportations, arrivals, PPS numbers. Using the data, we can see:
1) Arrivals from Somalia are up 90% in 2026
2) Backlog of asylum appeals is up 383% since 2023
3) Almost €300m has been paid to owners of CityWest.
It was developed by a friend.
I’m also working with other devs who want to make public data more open. We are all volunteers who care about Ireland.

Isn't it amazing how none of our highly paid media are capable of this type of work? Why is that?

If you are an outsider wondering why Irish hauliers and farmers are protesting, here is a breakdown of how much the government takes from every litre of petrol and diesel.
Petrol - 59% tax
Diesel - 52% tax
All of this is on top of soaring electricity, decades of abandonment of native industry in favour of US FDI get rich quick investment. Private enterprise and farmers have been squeezed for decades.
The current fuel crisis is simply the straw that broke the camel's back.
