I'm genuinely surprised a T206 Honus Wagner hasn't been put in a digital repack yet. It feels inevitable. Could we see that happen in 2027?

I don't collect football cards but if I did, this would be the set. Extremely condition sensitive.
🏈 $1.47 MILLION FOR A FOOTBALL CARD SET! A nearly complete 1962 Topps Football set sold for $1,473,638! 175 of 176 cards. Decades of history. Would you rather own this vintage masterpiece or $1.47M in modern rookie autos? #VintageCards #FootballCards #SportsCards

I've had a theory brewing that this would be the workaround if digital repacks were considered gambling due to the instant cash offers. Businesses that claim to be unaffiliated could serve as cash-out middlemen for very low fees then sell the cards back to the repack companies.
Pokémon cards being used to get around gambling laws?! 💀 Texas deputies raided 7 game rooms in San Antonio, taking 20+ people into custody and seizing nearly 600 machines. Instead of cash payouts, winners received Pokémon and sports cards, which could reportedly be sold for cash at a business next door.

Great improvement for the Authenticity Guarantee packages. Naturally, some people are already complaining.
New packaging solution is officially out in the wild for the eBay Authenticity Guarantee (AG) program for raw/ungraded cards. Huge improvement in preventing cards from moving around in a traditional Card Saver during the shipping process.

I've had actual arguments with people about this exact topic. I'm with Steve on this one... the autograph needs to stand on its own regardless of provenance.
Can a genuine autograph still fail authentication? Yes. Photos and provenance can add context, but the signature itself has to stand on its own. What would you ask an authenticator? #Autographs #Collectibles

Fun fact! It's not the first cork in a card. Pacific owns that milestone with this masterpiece.
to our knowledge, this is the first time a cork has ever been placed inside an official trading card

I'll never understand people in fandoms who are rude or mean to others who don't fandom like they do. The gatekeeping and hostility that goes on is so toxic and unnecessary. Let people be happy and find their joy.

If you have an AI subscription, just ask it how to solve one of your pain points as a collector. You'll be surprised how far you can get building a personal tool/app with relatively little programming knowledge.
Who in the card hobby space is building their OWN software? Not something you want to productize and monetize, just something that runs locally for you and does something cool?

One step closer to value bulk. It will be interesting to watch the GemRate numbers to see how PSA handles the increased demand this will bring.
We’re excited to announce that Value is coming back, starting October 29 at 8 am PT for $39.99. Plus, Standard and Priority estimated turnaround times are getting faster. Learn more: psacard.click/Value-Opening-… New Value orders will be processed after existing orders. This will not affect estimates for orders in line.

Lots of people dunking on this. I see roles like this as great opportunities for the right people. You get to build relationships and experience the lifestyle that comes with grinding shows every weekend with somebody else paying for food, travel, and a bankroll that gets you in the conversations with the right people. So many people are trivializing how much work it takes to go from a few grand starting capital to 6 figures/year profit in a market where everything isn't going up like it was a few years ago. This role caps the upside for the employee while nearly eliminating the downside risk (assuming they aren't terrible at the job).
$100k a year to go to shows and buy cards.
