For my fellow Indian credit card points enthusiasts: I've been a bit obsessed with credit card points for a few years now. My wife will happily confirm this. My favourite redemption so far was last year, when we flew Cathay to HK on points to see Coldplay live on our wedding anniversary. Still one of the best trips we've had and hardly cost anything! The planning was the painful bit though. Every trip meant finding a flight, then opening loads of tabs to work out award charts, transfer ratios and which of my points stashes could actually get us there. So I built something to do that for me. It's called SeeThePoints. I built it with Indian cards and Indian travellers in mind first. It works on Google Flights and Skyscanner, as well as MakeMyTrip, Cleartrip, Goibibo, ixigo, EaseMyTrip and Yatra. You search like you normally would and the points price shows up right under each fare. If the points are a better deal than paying cash, it turns gold. That's all free. There's also a Pro version if you want business and first class, or want to see exactly which of your cards transfer and at what ratio. (MCC: 5734 😄) It now covers cards from 46 countries and works in 21 languages, but my first goal was always Indian points enthusiasts like us. Free on Chrome and Edge, no sign-up needed. Check them one by one, then confirm before anything is saved. → Pick several screenshots at once, or share them straight from your gallery. 📄 My vouchers come as a PDF / email / Excel → PDF: every page is read. → Paste: drop the whole email or message into one big box. → Bulk CSV: upload a file with hundreds of codes. 📋 The app won’t let me take a screenshot → Collect codes: copy a code there, come back, and it’s added. Repeat, then tap Done. 🔍 The scanner is slow and misreads codes → Rebuilt from scratch with your phone’s own text reader. Sharp, and done in a second or two. → Torch for dim rooms, and a lens switch that remembers your choice. → Fix or lock any value while it reads. The scanner waits for you. 🎯 It picked the order ID, not the voucher code → It picks the voucher code over order, transaction and phone numbers. → Every picture is read twice and the PIN, amount and expiry are cross-checked. → The store comes from your store list, never a guess. 🛒 Showing a code at the counter is a struggle → Checkout mode: a big barcode and QR, with the screen at full brightness, so the cashier scans in one go.
