I think it's interesting that pre-transition I started making a war game about tracking how exhausted your soldiers are, pushing them until they eventually perish (still making it) and now I ravenously want to make a game about giving flowers to your friends and making bouquets.
Honestly, this is why I became friends with Xoe and she helped me realize my own trans identity. Her choice of self expression helped me down the path of finally enjoying being alive, and I don't mean that lightly. This is why representation and self expression is so important.

Ok top of being a trans pan mom, Xoe is also just a wonderful human being, and her story is extremely important

I got a chance to playtest this game, and it's an absolute delightful combination of roll and move, "I cut, you choose", and rondel shenanigans!

I feel like the true power of a list is that it reminds you just how much you can get done in a short amount of time. At this rate, I should be able to playtest Scars of Aether again sooner than I had thought!
I don't think I'll ever doing anything as cool as making hollow stackable walls to put around my magic towers in #TTS
My boss, who hasn't played a #boardgame in a decade, pitched to me a game idea called "Clams Casino". He said he didn't know anything else about and I'm already planning on kickstarting it.
Is it scope creep, or is it fixing a problem? Can it be both?
I'm trying to fix the end game for Scars of Aether, and the solutions I come up with inevitably add more systems. I just gutted some unnecessary mechanics and systems, so I might have room for something new...hmmm...
If you wanted to play a hex-based skirmish #boardgame, what form of map modularity is most interesting to you?
A map that is.....
50%Prebuilt, which I set up
0%Created during deployment

Realizing that a secondary mechanic in your #gamedesign is not only unnecessary, but it is actually harmful towards the overall design of the game is such a wild and freeing feeling.
I don't know who made the prompt for this artflow.ai, but this is phenomenal.
Last night, I had the joy of working with my co-designer on our game Drift Club!
Notes:
1) Modular map is awesome (make the map longer each round and swap the start and finish line)
2) Driving off the map teleports you to the begining
3) You must STOP on the finish line to win!!
