Many unpaid carers are forced to reduce or leave work to provide care. As the cost of living continues to rise, 1 in 3 carers have cut back on essentials like food & heating. No one should have to choose between caring & financial security. #ChallengePovertyWeek #EndCarerPoverty

Mae gofalwyr di-dâl a’r gweithlu gofal cymdeithasol yn hanfodol i gymunedau Cymru. Gall camau i recriwtio, cadw a gwerthfawrogi gweithwyr gofal hefyd gefnogi gofalwyr di-dâl. Edrychwn ymlaen at barhau’r drafodaeth.
For too long, care workers have been overlooked. We're changing that by giving our 1.5 million care workers a voice, a fair deal and better rights through the first ever Fair Pay Agreement, alongside proper training and opportunities. Industrial relations for the modern age.

Unpaid carers & the social care workforce provide vital support to people across Wales. Measures that help recruit, retain & value care workers can also benefit unpaid carers. We look forward to continued dialogue on how care workers and unpaid carers can be better supported.
England will benefit from the first ever Fair Pay Agreement for care workers. Wales & Scotland have the power to do the same, with new laws allowing for creation of negotiating bodies. Time for Plaid and SNP to show they value care workers as much as the UK Labour Govt does.

‘Mae gofalwyr yn adnabod yr unigolyn y maent yn gofalu amdano yn well nag unrhyw weithiwr proffesiynol.’ Sicrhau bod gofalwyr yn cael eu deall, eu cydnabod a’u cefnogi’n lleol. #WythnosGofalwyr 👉tinyurl.com/bddsd6yz

Mae seibiau byr yn helpu gofalwyr i ffurfio cysylltiadau newydd. Mae treulio un seibiant byr ar y cyd yn aml yn arwain at gyfeillgarwch, cefnogaeth gan gymheiriaid a grwpiau cymunedol. Gall seibiant un gofalwr roi hwb i’r gymuned gyfan. #GofalwyrDiDâl #WythnosGofalwyr

Short breaks help carers form new connections. Friendships, peer support and community groups often grow from a single shared break. One carer’s break can uplift a whole community. #StrongerCommunities #UnpaidCarers #ShortBreaksScheme #CarersWeek

Schools are such important communities for #youngcarers which is why it is vital to have a school lead to support and champion them. #CarersWeek Mae ysgolion yn gymunedau mor bwysig i ofalwyr ifanc, a dyna pam ei bod yn hanfodol cael arweinydd yn yr ysgol i’w cefnogi a’u canmol.
