I'm 43.
At 32, I was down to $2000 in my bank account after founding my first company (and failing to profit).
Then, I discovered Warren Buffet's letters on investment & life, and became a millionaire at 33.
Here are his 9 most powerful lessons (that will change your life):

If you are not raising the critical speed/power as a priority, you are leaving performance on the table.
Because even small amounts of exercise performed above critical speed,
Can impair your fatigue resistance in the finishing sprint.
Also applies to repeated high-speed efforts in teams.
New world-tour cycling study shows:
The same accumulated work below CS, does not affect the ability to reproduce high speed efforts.

Two opinions around cycling shoes for triathlon..
1) The pressure of the pedal spindle should be behind the ball of the foot. Not on it and certainly not in front of it.
When this adjustment is made power output for heart rate tends to go up in sustained intervals and many triathletes lower limb running injuries often go away. Most shoe brands don't have the cleat holes drilled far enough back to allow this which is strange given basic market research would find the majority of cyclists running the cleats as far back as the shoe will permit. Cycling brands, please start drilling holes further back to give the people what they want.
2) When I measure most people's feet, especially those who've run much of their life, it's very hard to find a cycling shoe that accommodates the width of their feet. Numb feet after a few hours is accepted as normal. It isn't normal. Get wider shoes.
As you were.
