I’m taking a break from my PhD 🩷✨🫶🏼 I initially planned to keep quiet about this decision, but also feel like too many of us get lost in the shame and stigma of “quitting” academia and grad school. If you are having a hard time with your PhD, I see you and I am with you.

they can’t give a visa to a referee to do his job at the World Cup, but they can give visas to criminals fleeing accountability to their own government. Sounds about right.

Teenage boys are killing babies and teachers in school, and you’re worried about 10 trans athletes making people “uncomfortable.” Be so for real right now.
as a mom, I am LIVID today. Just full of rage at these fucking pathetic hypocrites who are letting our kids be murdered.
You care about protecting your children? PROVE IT YOU COWARDS.

Not punishing rapists in high school and/or college because of their "promising futures" is how you get a rapist for president. Twice.

Does Turning Point USA donate to food pantries? Help the poor? Feed the hungry? Give to children’s hospitals? House the homeless? Care for the sick?
Just curious for no particular reason.

This is beyond sickening…another gut punch to science, scientists and the world for that matter. The beauty and strength of NSF is they have always funded the best science…fundamental thru applied. Zero politics. They funded 90% of my research over my 30+ year career…this is heartbreaking.
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has issued a 10-page memo signaling a retreat from its traditional role of giving grants to individual researchers to pursue their best ideas and to train the next generation of scientists.
Instead, the memo makes clear, NSF will devote the bulk of its resources to addressing the research priorities of President Donald Trump and his administration, many of them technology focused. scim.ag/4ipE1kY

columbine happened 2 months before I was born. I was 2 when 9/11 happened. we’ve been fighting pointless wars my entire life. covid took away my early 20s. my tax dollars are funding genocide. our generation really has endured a lot. I hate when people try to say we have it easy

rest in peace to the 2,977 people who lives were taken during 9/11.
and, rest in peace to the millions of people in afghanistan, pakistan, iraq, syria and yemen who suffered for the actions they never committed.

trump became “President” twice because millions of Americans are just like him…hateful, racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, selfish, ignorant, boorishly arrogant, cruel and fake Christians.

I want the last ten years of my life back. That incontinent orange water buffalo stole something irreplaceable from every single one of us! Above all else, that’s the worst part.

I renew my appeal for an end to the ongoing violence against the Palestinian civilian population in the West Bank, and I urgently call on the international community to work toward advancing the two-state solution, for a just and lasting peace.

Born in Detroit to Egyptian immigrant parents, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is a Rhodes Scholar with two doctorates who became Detroit's youngest-ever health director at age 30 before going on to teach epidemiology at Columbia University.
Calling him a "radical Islamist" makes you look stupid, not him.
