I don't really understand the decision to refuse bail here... people accused of much more serious assaults are bailed all the time.
Before being convicted of literally biting a man's face, Alison Chawke was out on bail, as was her brother.

What was wrong with Ryanair? Book the back three rows!
Sitting outside my home in Greencastle and at 10.57 PM the British Army clowns are still doing their very noisy shooting practice. They have been at it all day! With this amount of practice they better be getting good and be about to invade some country!

Keep calling Harris out for the danger clown that he is!
"It is Harris who is making this about race, when most people are concerned about the values and cultures of a person."
Strong and important stuff from @LPerrins:

Twenty-nine houses built without planning permission must be removed, High Court rules irishtimes.com/ireland/2026/…
You obviously cannot have builders ignoring planning laws. We have a housing crisis. Instead of knocking them down, give them a huge fine and or the option to donate them to the council and avoid the fine

So teachers care more about what’s happening in Gaza than they do about teaching the children they are paid to teach. Sack them all and replace them with teachers who want to work and put kids first. You can protest about whatever you like in your own time.

France give no welfare for five years and offer no accommodation.
How come we have international obligations and they don’t.
As usual, Niall makes a lot of sense.
Other countries are tightening their citizenship rules, yet Ireland still appears willing to grant citizenship to people who may not be net contributors to the State.
The Government is now proposing a self-sufficiency requirement, including restrictions around certain welfare payments in the two years before applying, but why stop there? Two years???
Irish citizenship should mean something. We should be looking at a ten-year requirement, with no serious criminal record and no long-term reliance on benefits for most of that period.
Citizenship should be earned, not handed out. It’s not a right, it’s a privilege that inky people of good character should be given.

Only about 25% of muslims worldwide are fundamentalist headbangers.
If, over the next decade, we import 320000 of them, only around 80000 (a packed Croke Park) would want to stone women to death.
It'll be grand 👀

The blood of these potential attacks will be on the hands of every politician that open Irelands borders and every politician that stood by and let it happen.

Wonder does the National Concert Hall have a diversity & inclusion co-ordinator ? Just asking.
It is clear that the National Concert Hall’s cancellation of the MDA Ireland event grossly violates its published Customer Action Plan which includes the following:
A pledge “ to ensure the rights to equal treatment established by equality legislation and accommodate diversity so as to contribute to equality for the groups covered by the equality legislation on the grounds of gender, marital status, family status, sexual orientation , religious belief, age, disability, race and membership of the travelling community”.
It also asserts that the NCH is “ committed to dealing with ALL OUR CUSTOMERS in a professional manner, according to fair and equal treatment, irrespective of race, gender, sociology- economic status, language, disability and other social attributes” and that “ we will promote staff awareness of equality and diversity” and “ deliver a quality service with courtesy and sensitivity”.
Wonder what Mr Peter Kenna, the chairperson of the NCH board has to say. So far totally silent.
Indeed, I will never complain about my brothers ever again🤓
Iran’s President says Tehran not seeking conflict with neighbouring states & Muslim countries as Tehran daily fires missiles at them, murders & maims, blocks shipping & destroys their assets & infrastructure.
Words have become meaningless. No doubt Iran’s Western supporters will now deny Iran has targeted any of them with missiles & claim that the blockade is a capitalist/Jewish fiction.
Of course what Iran doesn’t want is retaliation by any of its neighbours that it has cowardly attacked.
That’s just unfortunately people abusing the system
