Jon Watts knows Star Wars, and hopefully Lucasfilm gives him real creative freedom that he deserves.
Hot take: Skeleton Crew felt more like Star Wars to me than Andor did. Andor was excellent sci-fi television. I just didn’t feel the Star Wars of it all.
Silo on @AppleTV is required viewing. Rebecca Ferguson, Jessica Henwick, Tim Robbins, and Ashley Zukerman make Season 3 a must see for any sci-fi lover. Everything about this show is fantastic. When I heard @TimRobbins1 was in it, I binged the whole thing. 🙏💫

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art was built to be a home for stories. Last night, the artists in our collection got to see their work celebrated on the walls of a museum. 🧡
Experience the power of these stories and get tickets to the Lucas Museum at lucasmuseum.org
Inde Navarrette is one of the biggest stars on the planet. It’s obvious why Marvel wanted her and my hope is that her payday was substantial. I think Rogue is in good hands.
Starfighter may be the real deal. Gosling is excellent in the D23 tease. It looks and feels like Star Wars of old. I hope George is proud for this one.
I am at D23 and the overall feeling I am getting: Cautious optimism. Lucasfilm may be bringing the heat. 🤞🙏
Can we get a buddy cop film with Tom Holland and Jon Bernthal greenlit please? They are on screen gold. Two massive films and they killed it in both.
I watch Spider-man Brand New Day for. Second time but this time was the @AMCTheatres Screen X theater. I have to admit it was incredible and I wanted to do it again. Screen X is crazy immersive.
Last night’s Vader Episode 2 premiere was a masterclass in what fan passion can build when given room to run. Massive turnout, real energy at the entire event, gracious hospitality, the kind of nostalgia that took me straight back to standing in line for Revenge of the Sith as a kid with my brother.
To Star Wars Theory (@realswtheory) and his team: that’s a hell of a film. TC Carson was so good. Congratulations to everyone.
George Lucas built this universe on creativity, not gatekeeping. He championed fan work because he understood something the current custodians of this galaxy seem to have forgotten: the fans are the IP’s greatest asset. I know Lucasfilm is paying attention because they know this night was special.

Been traveling nonstop lately. This morning, stuck at the airport for a couple hours, I watched 6 total strangers talk about The Odyssey the entire time. Multiple viewings. Multiple.
The only thing slowing this film down right now is Spider-Man. And even that might just be a pause, not a stop. I have a strong feeling it picks right back up once the Spider-Man push clears.
The word of mouth on this movie is genuinely insane.
Streaming services, don’t call your service ad free if you going to force a garbage trailer before the film. That’s called an ad.

If I’m being honest as someone who is involved inthis space professionally, Japanese, Korean and Chinese entertainment (film, television and anime alike) is operating on another level right now. The production quality is cinema grade, budgets are not out of control, the anime output is far superior than most studio tentpoles, and the storytelling takes real risks. There is escapism and true payoffs. American content increasingly feels like it’s playing it safe by comparison. I am not saying all American projects but most seem stale and complacent.
