Who decides what counts as misinformation and disinformation under Plaid Cymru’s proposed broadcasting authority? I challenged the Government on the dangers of increased political control over Welsh media and demanded guarantees that all voices, opinions and communities across Wales will be treated fairly. Our media must hold power to account, not become a tool of those in power. - Pwy sy’n penderfynu beth sy’n cael ei ystyried yn gamwybodaeth a chamwybodaeth fwriadol o dan awdurdod darlledu arfaethedig Plaid Cymru? Heriais y Llywodraeth ynghylch peryglon cynyddu rheolaeth wleidyddol dros y cyfryngau yng Nghymru, a mynnais sicrwydd y bydd pob llais, barn a chymuned ledled Cymru yn cael eu trin yn deg. Rhaid i’n cyfryngau ddwyn y rhai mewn grym i gyfrif, nid dod yn arf i’r rhai sydd mewn grym. #ReformUK #FreeSpeech #FreedomOfExpression #Wales

Home Education is a valid choice. In Committee, I raised the issue of a potential home education register. It is important we seek further clarity on this point. I also asked how decisions about the suitability of home education are made. I will continue to scrutinise the Government so that the rights of parents and families are not infringed. - Mae addysg ddewisol yn y cartref yn ddewis dilys. Yn y Pwyllgor, codais y mater o bosibilrwydd cyflwyno cofrestr addysg ddewisol yn y cartref. Mae’n bwysig ein bod yn ceisio eglurder pellach ar y pwynt hwn. Gofynnais hefyd sut y gwneir penderfyniadau ynghylch addasrwydd addysg yn y cartref. Byddaf yn parhau i graffu ar y Llywodraeth er mwyn sicrhau nad yw hawliau rhieni a theuluoedd yn cael eu torri. #HomeSchooling #homeeducation #wales #ReformUK

📢 Weekly Update from the Senedd Another busy week representing the people of Blaenau Gwent, Rhymney and Caerphilly. This week, I’ve been raising the issues that matter to our communities: 🏘️ Discussing the £20 million Pride in Place investment programme for Tredegar. 👨‍👩‍👧 Challenging mandatory Relationships and Sexuality Education for children as young as three. 🏭 Speaking up for Welsh industry and the importance of apprenticeships for our young people. 📺 Calling for GB News to be available on internal Senedd TVs to support media plurality and democracy. 🤝 Raising regional inequalities in support for adopted and care-experienced children and young people. I will continue to hold the Welsh Government to account, stand up for families and fight for better opportunities for our communities. Always here to help. 💙 #WeeklyUpdate #Senedd #ReformUKWales #BlaenauGwent #Caerphilly #Rhymney

This is indoctrination 👇 I grew up under communism. I know what happens when political ideology enters the classroom and children are taught who the approved people are, and who the enemy is. Britain is not communist. But the hard Left’s capture of too much of our education system should alarm every parent. We have one last chance to root ideological activism out of our schools and rescue education from those who think children are theirs to politicise. Thank you @_GeorgeFinch for exposing this and, crucially, taking action. It is not too late. But it is getting late.

Parents need support, not fines! I’m proud to say we are working towards a common-sense approach to school attendance that puts families and children first. Rather than automatically punishing parents, we must take a holistic approach, understand the reasons behind absence and tackle the root causes. As a society, we should be supporting families to get their children into school, not simply reaching for the fines book, especially when this disproportionately targets mothers and those who need our support the most. Support families. Put children first. Deliver real solutions. 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 #ReformUK #Education #Schools #Attendance #Wales

Parents in Wales deserve clarity on their rights when it comes to Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE). I have raised important questions about whether the Welsh Government’s approach, which makes RSE compulsory from age 3 and removes the general right of parental withdrawal, is consistent with the European Convention on Human Rights. Parents’ rights, transparency and the role of families in their children’s education must not be ignored. #ReformUK #Parents #Education #Wales #Senedd

A very early morning yesterday. Lovely to be at Radio Cymru this morning with Vaughan Roderick at the BBC. A 'getting to know' the politician segment where we see our politicians as human beings. Speaking about my roots in the valleys, council estate upbringing, working, family, faith, and adoption and why I'm in Reform. Hope you enjoyed it if you were listening.🩵

Plaid welcomes dangerous migrants. The Tories would house them. Reform would deport them.

The only people obsessed with rejoining the EU are the same political establishment who never respected the Brexit vote. Ordinary people are worried about the NHS, education, jobs and the cost of living. They want politicians fixing Britain's problems, not finding their way back onto the Brussels gravy train. It's time the political class stopped looking after themselves and started listening to the people.

The Curriculum for Wales already places a heavy burden on new teachers, who struggle to fit everything expected of them into a working day. Instead of reforming this system, Plaid Cymru have proposed an additional Numeracy and Literacy strategy on top of the existing framework. I have highlighted this issue directly to the Government through my role in the Early Years, Children, Young People and Education Committee. Please feel free to listen to the full session at senedd.tv - Mae’r Cwricwlwm i Gymru eisoes yn rhoi baich gwaith trwm ar athrawon newydd, sy’n cael trafferth ffitio popeth a ddisgwylir ganddynt i mewn i ddiwrnod gwaith. Yn hytrach na diwygio’r system hon, mae Plaid Cymru wedi cynnig strategaeth ychwanegol ar gyfer Rhifedd a Llythrennedd ar ben y fframwaith presennol. Rwyf wedi tynnu sylw’r Llywodraeth yn uniongyrchol at y mater hwn drwy fy rôl ar y Pwyllgor Blynyddoedd Cynnar, Plant, Pobl Ifanc ac Addysg. Mae croeso i chi wylio’r sesiwn lawn ar senedd.tv #education #wales #curriculum #sats #Senedd #ReformUK

Another busy week representing and meeting with constituents across Blaenau Gwent, Rhymney, Caerphilly! From meeting the National Adoption Service and Foster Wales, to remembering the victims of the October 7th attacks in Israel, raising concerns about safeguarding procedures, and visiting Newport Wellies Farm to see the fantastic work supporting children with ALN. I also joined the 150th anniversary celebrations at Ebenezer Baptist Church and enjoyed our branch meeting curry night fundraiser. I’ll continue to stand up for our communities, champion families and children, and hold the Welsh Government to account. What a wonderful evening I had celebrating with constituents in Abertillery last night. Thank you for inviting me. To hear the amazing history of this fantastic church in the community. Ebenezer Baptist church was celebrating 150 years. The amazing stories of faith and the Welsh revival and a support in times of loss in the mining community. The church provides a food kichen, warm hub, children's and young people's groups, toddler groups including one for Dads and babies. There is a dance group for children. There is a space to talk and grow spiritually. Abertillery Orpheus Ladies and Men's choirs were there and they encourage anyone who wants to sing to join them. I also met Katherine who is an ex colleague of mine and friend. She runs Crossroads Educational Centre in Caerphilly where children and young people can be educated and it's also an exam center. #ReformUK #Wales #Abertillery
