Kenny Chesney is mourning the loss of a very special family member. πŸ’” His dog Poncho β€” a goldendoodle who's been by Chesney's side for 15 years β€” has died. The singer says Poncho was a faithful friend who taught him how to give and receive unconditional love. "We lost Poncho at 5:15am this morning and my heart is broken but yet so full cause I know he gave us all he had," Chesney reflects. "We went down a lot of roads, lived a lot of life, and saw a lot of sunsets together." tasteofcountry.com/kenny-che…

The Legend of Western Movies 🎬 John Wayne.
There are legends, and then there is John Wayne, a man whose very silhouette against a Western sunset became a symbol of American cinema itself. Born Marion Robert Morrison in Iowa and raised in California, he did not begin as a myth but as a young man searching for opportunity, eventually finding his place in Hollywood where his towering presence, deliberate walk, and unmistakable drawl would redefine what it meant to be a leading man. Wayne rose to prominence with Stagecoach, and from that moment forward, he became the embodiment of frontier courage, portraying men who stood tall against chaos, who believed in duty, loyalty, and a personal code of honor that could not be broken even when the odds were overwhelming. Through classics like The Searchers, Rio Bravo, and True Grit, the latter earning him an Academy Award, Wayne created characters who were rugged yet vulnerable, flawed yet principled, men shaped by harsh landscapes and even harsher choices. Off-screen, he was as strong-willed as the roles he played, outspoken in his beliefs, and fiercely protective of the cinematic traditions he helped build, becoming not just an actor but a cultural figure whose influence stretched far beyond the silver screen. To generations of audiences, John Wayne was more than a cowboy or a soldier he was a presence, a steady force in a rapidly changing world, a reminder of an era when heroes rode tall and spoke plainly. Remembering John Wayne means remembering the golden age of Westerns, the echo of boots on wooden saloons, and the quiet confidence of a man who didn’t need to raise his voice to command a room. The Duke may have ridden off into the sunset, but legends like him never truly fade 🀠

Interesting. She did that. Couldn't save herself though
Amy Winehouse and the coconut vendor she saved in Saint Lucia. In 2009, during a long stay on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia, Amy Winehouse ran into Julian Jean-Baptiste on the beach, a 45-year-old coconut vendor who earned barely one pound a day. The man was suffering from a severe, life-threatening hernia, with no financial means to pay for the surgery he needed. Amy, without making a public fuss about the gesture, sent her bodyguard with the money to cover the medical expenses, which totaled over 4,000 pounds. Julian underwent surgery on July 1, 2009, and later said that the procedure literally saved his life, something he otherwise would never have been able to afford. After the successful surgery, Amy continued to check on his condition regularly. When he tried to thank her and return the favor in some way, she flatly refused, responding with a simple smile that no thanks were necessary.

"I will Always Love You " Kevin Costner β™₯️ He Loves Whitney Houston.
Kevin Costner’s feelings for Whitney Houston ran deeper than anyone knew β€” years later, he revealed his deepest regret... When Whitney Houston died at just 48, many people were surprised to see Kevin Costner standing at her funeral. After all, it had been 20 years since The Bodyguard. What many didn't realize was that the bond they had formed while making the movie had never really gone away. Costner was devastated by her death β€” and his words revealed just how deeply he blamed himself. β€œI let her down. I should have been there, and I wasn't,” he said. β€œAnd now for the rest of my life I will have to live with that pain. I saved her then; I should have saved her now.” Then he said something that left people stunned: β€œShe was my one true love.” But Costner's connection to Whitney wasn't just something he talked about after she was gone. When he knew she was struggling, he tried to reach her. He wrote letters of encouragement, hoping they might somehow help her through the pain. β€œShe would always be close to me; she would always be somebody I appreciated,” he later recalled. β€œI did. I don't know if those letters were ever read.” And when he stood in front of Whitney's family and friends to deliver her eulogy, the emotion was impossible to hide. β€œYou weren't just pretty β€” you were as beautiful as a woman could be. And people didn't just like you, Whitney β€” they loved you.” He reminded everyone that he had once been her β€œpretend bodyguard.” But this time, there was no movie ending. No way to protect her. No way to bring her back. What makes their story even more heartbreaking is that Whitney's family trusted Costner and knew how much he cared about her. He couldn't save her from the struggles she was facing β€” but he never stopped trying to reach her. And perhaps that's why, years later, he still keeps I Will Always Love You as his ringtone β™₯️

Nasty. Hurting. Hitting a cat with delivery parcel.
An Amazon driver appears to throw a package directly at a cat sitting on someone's front steps then seems to smile afterward. What an asshole... he should get fired for this.

Truly inspirational, determined, dedicated and courage is Rick Allen #Music #Drummer
Imagine being the drummer for one of the world’s biggest rock bands, then losing your left arm in a car crash at 21. Do you know his name? If not, here’s his incredible story. Doctors expected him to spend six months in the hospital. He left after six weeks. Def Leppard's album was unfinished and the future looked finished. The band never searched for a replacement. Their drummer was still right there. While still recovering, he started tapping rhythms with his feet on a foam block at the end of his hospital bed. Producer Mutt Lange pushed him toward an electronic kit. Friends and designers built the pedals that would let him trigger what his left arm used to play. He practiced alone for weeks so no one would see him fail. Then, roughly two and a half months after the crash, he called the band in and played the opening of Led Zeppelin's "When the Levee Breaks." Joe Elliott said they all ended up crying. Tears of pure disbelief and relief. Less than two years later, in 1986, he was back on stage. The comeback didn’t begin with a speech or a headline. It began with one stubborn beat, then another, then another. Plenty of people would have walked away. He didn't.

I remember when this happened, late December 1984. He was driving his corvette in England and crashed. Initially they reattached the arm but eventually had to remove it. Luckily the band stuck by him. This was a great concert!

In the fall of 1958, while shooting Some Like It Hot, Marilyn Monroe learned she was pregnant again. She and Arthur Miller had married two years earlier, hoping for the stable family life she had never known. The year before, she had already endured an ectopic pregnancy that required emergency surgery. This new pregnancy brought both joy and fear. Production on the film was grueling. Marilyn battled exhaustion, insomnia, and anxiety, and Miller asked director Billy Wilder to limit her hours. Filming wrapped in early November. She returned to New York determined to rest. On December 16, 1958, she miscarried. Among the few surviving traces of that pregnancy is a simple red cotton dress patterned with roosters and chickens. It was not a studio costume. It was an ordinary garment she chose while preparing for a child. In photographs from the period, she can sometimes be seen gently covering her midsection. Some Like It Hot would go on to become one of the great comedies of American cinema. Audiences saw Marilyn luminous and playful on screen. Almost none of them knew she had been carrying a pregnancy through much of the shoot, or that she lost it before the film reached theaters. Marilyn Monroe died in 1962 at the age of 36. She never had the child she wanted. The maternity dress remains a quiet record of a private hope that never came to pass. πŸŒΉπŸ’”
