This. If you don't have Christian morals an virtues you get a dystopia. It's high time secular atheists take ownership of their own ideology.
Friends, the sheer volume of fraud taking place in recent years throughout the world, and in America in particular, is staggering. I heard recently that the high end of federal estimates of the amount of money stolen per year in America is greater than the GDP of Vietnam, the Philippines, or Denmark. This is a real blight upon our society, made possible, at least in part, by religious disaffiliation. Since morality is grounded, ultimately, in God, one consequence of disaffiliation is an increase in moral drift, relativism, and indifference. If we want to protect the common good, we have to recover a moral integrity rooted in the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, and the parables of Jesus.

This is a fantastic response to a Catholic's role in evangelization.
Well, another Cardinal has come out with a, shall we say, puzzling take on evangelization. A few years ago, Cardinal Américo Aguiar, at the time auxiliary bishop of Lisbon, said that he and the other organizers of World Youth Day in his hometown had no interest in converting anyone to Christ. Now Cardinal Jean-Paul Vesco of Algeria has opined that “the Church is not there to convert” and “Christians should approach other religions through fraternity rather than seeking conversions.” Excuse me, but…what? Last time I checked, the Founder said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Sure sounds like conversion to me. When St. Paul came to Corinth or Athens or Thessalonica, his purpose was not to listen or to form a discussion group but rather to declare an unnerving message: the euangelion (glad tidings) that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead. So impassioned is he for this work that he says, “I have become all things to all people, that I might by all means save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel” (1 Cor. 9:22); and “If I proclaim the gospel, this gives me no ground for boasting, for an obligation is laid on me, and woe to me if I do not proclaim the gospel” (1 Cor. 9:16)! Moreover, the entire thrust of the Second Vatican Council was toward bringing the Light of Christ to the peoples of the world (Lumen Gentium). And this missionary élan has given rise in the last few decades to the idea of a “new evangelization,” which is to say, a fresh declaration of the Lordship of Christ. Quite obviously, no one thinks that this work of evangelization should be done in a brow-beating, overbearing, or disrespectful manner (proselytization), but for God’s sake, let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater. If I really thought that the Church does not exist to bring people to Christ, then I would resign and get an honest job.

Richard Wagner described the 2022 Freedom Convoy protests in Ottawa as the "start of anarchy," where participants took residents "hostage" and acted with a "bad understanding" of Canadian law. A Supreme Court of Canada justice does not have the right to express negative public views about an active case they are hearing. Doing so violates core constitutional principles and ethical duties governing the Canadian judiciary. globalnews.ca/news/12113125/…

Every terrorist attack on a church is a subtle admission that Islam is a false religion that cannot compete with Christianity in the realm of ideas. They must resort to violence because Christianity wins on every other front.👇🏻

Here are the fruits of secular nationalism, Canada. France turned its back on Catholicsim and all good that comes with it. Christ or chaos, Canada?
To every American, and to everyone watching France burn from abroad: Do not blame the French people for this. We never asked for it. We never voted for it. And the one time we were clearly asked, we said no. Here are the numbers your media won't show you. 70% of the French say there are too many immigrants in France today. 79% want a tougher immigration policy. 77% disapprove of the government's record on immigration. 83% want foreign criminals and long-term unemployed foreigners sent home. And no, it's not just the old. 69% of French 18 to 24 year olds support suspending legal immigration for three years. This is not a fringe. This is the French people. In 2005, we were asked if we wanted the European Constitution. 55% voted no. Three years later, our politicians passed the same text under another name, through parliament, without ever asking us again. That is modern France in one sentence. The people say no. The elites do it anyway. So who is responsible? The politicians who lied to us. A class of leaders formed in the same schools, the same forums, the same networks, loyal to each other before they are loyal to their nations. In 2017, at Harvard, Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, bragged about his Young Global Leaders program in four words: "We penetrate the cabinets." He added that it was true in France. Emmanuel Macron was one of his Young Global Leaders. It's the same project in Brussels with Ursula von der Leyen and in Paris with Macron. Borders treated as an obstacle. Nations treated as relics. The people treated as a problem to be managed. What you are watching in France is not the French people failing. It is the end of the globalist project, an abject, quasi-communist dream of a world run by unelected planners. It is collapsing everywhere in Europe at once, and the West has to cut this cancer out before it takes the rest of the body with it. The peoples of Europe don't want this. They never did. So when you see our town halls burning, don't say "the French chose this." The French never chose this. They were forced into it. If you're French and you agree, repost this so the world hears it from us. If you're American, look at us carefully. Then choose differently on November 3rd.

Sad and bizarre. I'd just keep praying it. What is the diocese going to do about it?
Bishop Mark Beckman just banned the St. Michael Prayer after Mass—for “noble simplicity.” Same bishop who already banned the Traditional Latin Mass. Same spirit, on full display in this video.

Two years ago, Jake Bauers told his agent he was retiring. His wife would return to teaching while he stayed home with their child. Three days later, she told him she was pregnant. He returned to baseball for the health insurance. Tonight, he hit the go-ahead home run in the NLCS. What a story. What a swing.

Reconciliation propaganda in high school exposed by BC teen A 16-year-old B.C. high school student says he is being denied the opportunity to return to class unless he removes his YouTube video called “Lies and Reconciliation,” which exposed some of the propaganda that was pushed on students during his school's Truth and Reconciliation Day programming. Isaac Simpson, a Grade 11 student enrolled in a Lower Mainland school's film and television program, decided to put his filmmaking skills to use after growing frustrated with what he was being taught about Canada's history, often unbeknownst to parents. From a masked Black Lives Matter advocate telling students about truth, to another virtual speaker telling the youth to embrace discussions of “land back,” to a disturbing exaggerated illustration depicting Catholic nuns and an RCMP officer forcibly tearing Indigenous children from their mothers, Simpson's video gives parents a rare look inside the classroom. “I got really sick of all the indoctrination being pushed down students' throats,” Simpson told me. “They were just telling you what to think, not how to think.” But his decision to expose the material came at a cost. After initially being suspended for what the school described as a period of “pause and reflection,” Simpson and his parents attended a meeting with school officials that the teen likened to an interrogation. Simpson documented that experience in a second video posted to his YouTube channel, Isaac Simpson's Flying Circus. Both videos have since been gaining attention online. Now, Simpson says he has been told he cannot return to school unless the videos come down. He refuses to comply. “I'm not taking it down because, you know, I stand by what I said,” Simpson explained. I caught up with the young filmmaker to find out why it was important for him to expose what's happening in his public school despite the risk. For Simpson, the issue is bigger than his suspension. Currently, "parents have no way of figuring out what is being taught in schools,” he said. I also spoke with his mother, former Global News director and current B.C. political commentator Anita Krishna, about the school's response and what comes next. REPORT by @DreaHumphrey:

Doctors were realistic about Logan Holbrook’s condition and prepared his family for his possible death when they arrived at the hospital on Wednesday, according to Mountaineer Catholic, the Catholic student center serving West Virginia University. He had gone nearly 10 minutes without oxygen. Logan is now talking and moving, according to his parents. Earlier, St. John University Parish had asked Catholics to pray for his recovery through the intercession of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen and Blessed Solanus Casey.
