What a lot of people don’t understand is that ‘Palestinian’ Arabs are known as the most violent Arabs in the entire Arab world.
There’s a reason why not a single Muslim country wants them. Palestinians started both the Lebanese and Jordanian civil wars. The civil war in Lebanon alone lasted 15 years, thanks to the Palestinians.
During the Gulf War and Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait, Palestinians backstabbed Kuwait by siding with Iraq against the country that had accepted them. As a result, all 400,000 Palestinians were expelled from Kuwait.
Gazans have infiltrated Egypt, bombed Coptic churches, and organized mob attacks against the local Christian population.
Across the Middle East, ‘Palestinians’ are regarded as savages and dishonorable. Arabs and Muslims support them against Israel, but they don’t want to live anywhere near them.

It's almost impossible for me to believe that this silencing of my right to speak freely is rampant in
England now, as if we were living in an authoritarian
country
The British Government is preparing an apparatus of internet censorship without parallel in the modern era.
At the UN, Andy Burnham announced the creation of a National Centre for Information Defence — Labour’s Ministry of Truth.
The Prime Minister says the centre will protect us from hostile foreign powers such as Russia, which he accused of spreading lies and disinformation about Britain, amplifying “far-right narratives” and interfering in our democracy.
But the real purpose is to suppress dissent and silence those who criticise the Government or express views about the state of the country that run counter to Labour’s prevailing progressive orthodoxy.
FSU Director of Policy and Research David Rose has written a new briefing examining the threadbare research the Government has used to justify its plans. The Government is clutching at straws — and, ironically, already spreading misinformation about the threat of misinformation.
It has ignored a wealth of evidence from leading academics to push ahead with its new censorship regime.
Burnham’s Government is putting Britain in the same league as some of the world’s most authoritarian powers.

Socialists look at Jeff Bezos’ $500 million yacht like he stuffed half a billion dollars into the hull, fired up the engines, and sailed the money straight out of the economy.
Then comes the ritual stupidity: “Do you know how many poor people that could feed?”
Do you know how many people got paid building the damn thing?
Dockworkers. Steelmakers. Designers. Artisans. Suppliers. Fuel companies. Restaurants. Maintenance crews. And that is before you get to the $25+ million a year it costs to operate or the $75 million support vessel following it around.
That is the part the socialist morality play always crops out.
They show you the yacht because the yacht photographs well. The payroll doesn’t.
Same with Gulfstream jets. Same with mansions. Same with lavish weddings. Same with every purchase they sneer at while pretending money disappears the second a rich person spends it.
Meanwhile, the government has spent more than $50 trillion over roughly half a century “fighting poverty,” and somehow poverty survived the assault.
What flourished?
Bureaucracies. Programs. Contractors. Fraud. Grifters. An entire permanent industry dedicated to managing a problem they never seem to solve.
And after watching that staggering mountain of spending fail to produce paradise, the socialist solution is still: confiscate more.
Brilliant. Absolutely fucking brilliant.
Take money away from people who invest it, build companies with it, buy products with it, finance startups with it, lend it, spend it, and push it through millions of private transactions — then hand more of it to the same political machinery that already burned through tens of trillions.
They count the yachts because counting the paychecks would wreck the scam.

The average person looking at the #riots in #France may think, "Oh, these are just disaffected youth. The government will throw some money at them and everything will go back to normal." Financial analysts who are also aware of France’s fiscal situation cannot afford to be so optimistic.
As the rising French 10-year government bond yield indicates, the public is losing faith in the French government’s ability to manage its debt. Borrowing money to fund benefits, or to rebuild the schools that were just burned to the ground, is becoming much more expensive. If this continues, the French government will face a tough choice: either cut its spending or default on its debt. Since it has imported such a large population of foreigners who rely on welfare and have little allegiance to the state, both choices will lead to the same result - more riots and more chaos.
The ECB may come to its aid with a generous bailout. But that means inflation will flare up again. The benefits the French government is handing out will lose their purchasing power, and the result will again be the same. This is the fate of every government that attempts to bribe its citizens with benefits. It eventually runs out of money and has to face their wrath with nothing left in its coffers.

This is the most illiberal take. If the Fever make a roster decision based on hoops, that's fine. But to call for someone to get cut loose bc they hold a view that a majority of the country holds, then that's just another example of why this league can't get out of its own way.
From @TheAthletic: If the Indiana Fever ever wants to go back to being a basketball team, Sophie Cunningham has to go, our columnist writes. "Cunningham is too combustible, her takes too turbulent to be paired with Caitlin Clark." nyti.ms/4eiBPJ0

“bUt DaTa CeNtEr JoBs ArE tEmPoRaRy” has got to be one of the more preposterous degrowth arguments out there.
You know what else creates a lot of jobs while being built and fewer once completed? Refineries, pipelines, dams, parks, power plants, semiconductor fabs, warehouses, airports, roads and other infrastructure, etc.
Shall we cease building those things too? Or just the scary new buildings with computers inside?

Defense tech firm Anduril is investing $3.7B to build a 2-million-square-foot shipyard in Baltimore to speed up U.S. submarine production.
The project will create 3,100 jobs, and the company will receive a $2.9 billion US Navy contract.
A Trump admin official says the shipyard, Arsenal 2, will lead to a 15% increase in submarine production capacity.
Anduril co-founder Palmer Luckey was recently tapped by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to help launch Project Meridian.
Project Meridian will study the future of warfighting and the technologies the U.S. military will need.
On Arsenal 2, WH deputy press secretary Anna Kelly said the following:
"This delivers on President Trump’s promise to bolster America’s defense industrial base while revitalizing our manufacturing industry, creating over 13,000 direct and indirect jobs and driving $2B in annual economic output.”
"... The Trump administration is rebuilding US shipbuilding capacity and capabilities, reforming workforce, education and training, protecting our maritime industrial base, and eliminating burdensome industry regulations."
Huge.

Democrats in Congress are now pushing to expose young children to transgender and gender identity ideology—without any knowledge or consent from their parents.
Democrats argue that cutting parents out will help kids “recognize their gender identity at a young age.”
Indeed, they want cartoons rated as appropriate for children 7 and under to include transgender, nonbinary, and gender ideology programming without any transparency to parents.
In contrast, the FCC is working to ensure that parents have the information necessary to decide what is appropriate for their own kids and families to watch.
