I am always so grateful and so proud of my @Ward28Gh family. They have ALL rallied to support me in charge on a truly horrific penultimate shift. The nursing, HCA, and medical teams have all been incredible today. I’m going to miss this work family so very much.

In exactly two weeks today, I will have less than 8 hours left of my shift as a Band 5 RN in UHL. It seems like only yesterday that I started!

Does anybody else get imposter syndrome when writing a CV? Realistically I know I have all the skills I’m saying I do (or I wouldn’t include them) but looking at it on the screen makes me look waaaaay better than I actually see myself 😅

Why is basic sanitation being denied to the women of Wales during their firebreak lockdown? Period products are NOT a luxury, they are VERY essential items to people who menstruate.
Why did I think that using my self isolation time to clean and organise my flat was a good idea? I’ve done one and a half rooms and I’m shattered! Would it be lazy to have an afternoon nap? Asking for a friend 😂

Stay in doors but go to school. Make dinner at home but eat out to help out. WFH but get back in the office. No more than 6 but do go hunting. No hospital visitors but please go to the pub. We're all in this together but its your fault if you're confused.
We all face a choice. If everyone follows the rules, then we can avoid a further lockdown.

How dare the public go back to work when we tell them to, eat out to help out when we tell them to, go to the pub when we tell them to, send their kids back to school when we tell them to - and then have the temerity to get sick?
Health secretary overarching message this morning: if there’s another national lockdown the public will only have themselves to blame #Covid19UK

So not the PM’s advice to ‘go holiday abroad’, ‘Eat out to Help Out’, ‘get back to the office or lose your job’, & ‘It’s ok to break the rules based on your interpretation’?

Yesterday, one of our lovely patients brought several boxes of these incredible treats (lokma) at the end of our shift as a thank you/Eid present! These went down SO well with everyone and definitely gave us a pick-me-up at the end of the day! @Ward28Gh

No one would argue with putting in place local action to reduce the transmission of coronavirus. But announcing measures affecting potentially millions of people late at night on Twitter is a new low for the government’s communications during this crisis.

It’s taken me an hour and a half to start my e-learning because I’m stubborn and refuse to pay £60 a year for Microsoft Office, therefore having to download a different word program. Maybe the most elaborate procrastination technique I’ve used in a long time.
