The DA’s Felony Special Victims Team, led by ADA Leslie Stephens, is proud to join with @CMPD to educate the public about child abuse. Along with other partner agencies like Pat's Place, we continue to support survivors and challenge misconceptions surrounding child abuse.

Hear from Leslie Stephens, the supervisor of the Felony Special Victims team at the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Office, about how they try to educate the public on what child abuse really looks like, as it often differs from jurors pre-conceived notions. Collaborating with our Crimes Against Children Unit and expert witnesses from advocacy centers, like Pat's Place, they work to dispel false ideas or beliefs that make it harder for children to come forward.
