5 disciplines Jim Rohn practiced every day:
1. Read for 30 minutes
2. Write in his journal
3. Practice his craft
4. Review his goals
5. Guard his associations
Success isn’t one big leap. It’s small things repeated.

Tropical Storm Rachel made landfall in Baja California, Mexico last week, about 90 miles southeast of San Diego, after peaking as a Category 3 hurricane. But for Southern California’s beaches, Rachel was just the latest blow in a string of historic storms in the eastern Pacific, and its impact was amplified by a Kelvin wave that raised sea levels in some areas by over a foot.
Since early September, Hurricanes Marie, Polo, and Rachel have hammered Southern California’s coast. In Long Beach, their combined force collapsed a section of the historic boardwalk, red-tagging eight buildings and prompting mandatory evacuations. In Newport Beach, a swell that nearly doubled its predicted size broke through 20-foot berms and sent seawater into the streets. And after a full summer of El Niño-fueled storms and tides, beaches in North County San Diego, San Onofre, San Clemente, and Laguna Beach have been dramatically eroded, along with safe access to them.
With a strong El Niño underway, this won’t be the last extreme swell and erosion event of the season. Quick fixes like sandbags and hard armoring can buy a little time, but often at the cost of the beach itself. Coastal communities need long-term resilience planning long before the next storm hits — plans that work with nature to protect the future of our beaches and adapt before conditions become dire.

How did the Great Amitabh Bachchan endorse Gujarat knowing what happened there?
When should you decide fast, and when should you sleep on it?
Most productivity advice tells you to trust your gut. Other advice tells you to slow down and analyze. Both are half-right.
The research points to a cleaner rule: match the decision speed to the decision type.
For small, reversible choices — what to eat, which email to answer first, whether to take the meeting — decide fast. The cost of deliberating is higher than the cost of being wrong. You can undo it.
For big, irreversible choices — hiring someone, signing a contract, leaving a job — sleep on it. Not because your gut is wrong, but because a delay lets the emotional charge fade and the actual trade-offs surface.
Jeff Bezos calls these Type 1 and Type 2 decisions. Type 2 (reversible) should be made quickly and by individuals. Type 1 (one-way doors) deserve more time and more input.
The mistake most people make isn't deciding too fast or too slow. It's using the wrong speed for the wrong door.
Before your next decision, ask one question: can I walk this back?
If yes, decide now.
If no, sleep on it.

There’s something about thinking outside the box. Honestly, strategic thinking is a thing.

My formula for success:
Find someone who has already achieved what you want to achieve - someone whose results you trust.
Internalize not only their strategies and tactics, but also their beliefs, mindset, and way of thinking.
Learn to see the world through the lens that produced their success.
Be open to ideas and concepts you disagree with; things that seem strange or different.
Then commit to unconditional persistence in the direction of your dream.
Be patient. Give yourself time to develop. Stay the course long enough for the lessons to take root, the skills to compound, and the results to emerge.
Model success. Trust the process. Persist without condition.

Dear young people,
Nobody warns you how quiet ruin is.
It never arrives with sirens or a sudden collapse. It shows up disguised as comfort. It arrives in the invitations you were too weak to decline, the discipline you delayed until "next Monday," and the rooms full of people who laughed with you while silently anchoring you to the floor.
Remember this rule, carved into every regret I have ever witnessed:
Easy choices lead to an excruciating life.
Difficult choices build an untouchable life.
The hard path is painful upfront. Waking up when it hurts. Holding standards when everyone around you is taking shortcuts. Choosing focus over cheap dopamine. But that pain expires—and it leaves behind freedom, clarity, and peace.
The easy path gives you instant pleasure, but charges interest forever.
And look closely at the hands currently shaping your future. The people around you are not neutral bystanders; they are either elevating your ceiling or normalizing your drift. If your circle makes discipline feel awkward and mediocrity feel comfortable, you do not have friends—you have an alibi.
Your future isn’t an accident waiting to happen. It is the mathematical sum of what you refuse to compromise on today.
Choose hard now. Or regret will choose it for you later.

The biggest reason why so many educated Indians want to settle abroad isn't just higher salaries.
It's the ability to live a respectable life without constantly fighting with the system, worrying about basic civic facilities, dealing with corruption or feeling punished for being an honest taxpayer.
People don't leave their country without a reason.
