Serial tech entrepreneur Adam Robinson and his family have been identified as the passengers in the Learjet 60 that crashed yesterday in Florida.
Airlines in Africa are 3.5x more likely to end in a fatal crash compared to North America.
Why are African airlines so much more dangerous?
Nearly half the world's population lives in countries without fully free elections and democracy.
Another 2.7 billion live in countries governed by the political right.
The global political landscape looks very different from what you might imagine. 🌎
Tokyo is no longer the world's largest city, the top 10 are:

2. Dhaka 🇧🇩 : 36.6M
3. Tokyo 🇯🇵 : 33.4M
4. New Delhi 🇮🇳 : 30.2M
5. Shanghai 🇨🇳 : 29.6M
6. Guangzhou 🇨🇳 : 27.6M
7. Cairo 🇪🇬 : 25.6M
8. Manila 🇵🇭 : 24.7M
9. Kolkata 🇮🇳 : 22.6M

Trump claimed today was one of the worst days in history for the stock market. It wasn't even close. It wasn't even in the top 10 worst days since 2001 and we're still up 63% in the last 5 years. Don't make emotional trades right now.
The Nasdaq dropped 5.52% and the S&P500 4.41% based on these data center slowdown fears. This doesn't seem too bad. This just means tougher controls but the market is selling off like there are outright bans.
I bet the market is back to all-time highs by Christmas.
The governor-elect of Texas, Gina Hinojosa, has explicitly said that all currently permitted datacenters in Texas will be allowed to finish construction. This essentially covers all of the 2027 and likely well into 2028.
She is going to pass laws that ensure that all *newly* permitted datacenters going forward for delivery in 2028/2029 will pay taxes, commit to no increase in power prices for consumers, don’t impact water availability for people, be constructed with union labor and give “Texans a seat at the table.”
Sounds reasonable. She doesn’t want to lose a lot of good blue collar jobs and property taxes for small towns in rural Texas.
Datacenter commentary starts at 6:30 in this interview.
Also attaching her official campaign position from her website in the next post.
Sidenote: After watching a bunch of her speeches and interviews, I do think she is a political talent and probably has a future in national politics.

Two private jet brands stand-out amongst the rest: Learjet and Cessna Citations.
They represent 39% of private jets built but a staggering 68% of fatal accidents!
Some of the Trump strongholds the Democrats flipped are astonishing.
7 states were over 10% in Trump's favor in 2024 and now have been taken over.
Americans have sent a clear wakeup call.
Since 2022, governments around the world have been shifting more right and up until yesterday the swings were tied 12-12.
The Democrats sweep of the US midterms made it 13-12 for left-leaning governments.
Is this the start of a larger global shift left?
1932, that's when Hitler came into power, that's also the last time the Kansas Senate was Democratic, until now. 94 years later!
Wow, 5 out of every 1,000 Learjets ever built have crashed!!! That is insanely high!
They are by far the most dangerous private jet brand. Embraer is the safest.
🛫 Which countries have the most dangerous and safest airlines?
Most dangerous:
🇳🇵 Nepal
🇵🇰 Pakistan
🇧🇩 Bangladesh
Safest:
🇯🇵 Japan
🇬🇧 United Kingdom
🇮🇪 Ireland
You'd think the most expensive way to fly would be the safest.
Per flight, it's not even close:
🛩️🌐Private jets outside the US: 49 fatal accidents per 10M flights
🛩️🇺🇸 US private jets: 17
✈️ Airlines: 1 to 3, North America the best, Africa the worst
Per trip, flying private is nearly as dangerous as a motorcycle!!!
Knowing that, would you still take the risk to fly private?
