I couldn’t be any more proud of Jimmy Rogers and our Iowa State football team. All week long, I heard how we were “trash” and were going to get “dog walked.” A 14-point underdog, and all these guys did was fight their hearts out.
They played HARD, never backed down, and had a legitimate chance late in the game. That’s the kind of effort and toughness you want to see from the Cyclones.
Proud of this team. Proud of Coach Rogers & staff. Proud to be a Cyclone.

What you saw tonite was what Coach Rogers has been preaching all year. Toughness, violence, hard hitting and aggressive. I hate moral victories, clean up some penalties and we are in a position to win that game. Gonna be a good season.

There's no moral victory for Jimmy Rogers.
"Proud of the locker room as far as how we played but we still lost. That was the message that they just got. We came here to win the game. I don't care what the outside world thinks. The guys believed it. Obviously, you can tell that they believed it. And there were some critical errors in there that cost us."

Iowa State blew my expectations for them out of the water in this game. This defense is great. The Offense needs to make strides, but no turnovers is great. Keep improving over the season, and the foundation will be strong. GO CYCLONES!!!!!!!!!
