It’s been a really tough day. 😔💔 13 years ago today, the woman who taught me so much and started my passion for weather, passed away. She taught me to have a relationship with God and she taught me how to pray. She started my love for weather because every time a storm came through, she would tell me to sit still and listen to and watch the Lord’s work. Now, I chase storms. My “Dorothy” chase vehicles have always been dedicated to her for inspiring me to do what I do to this day. My grandma always loved watching “The Wizard of Oz”! Coincidentally, my favorite movie, “Twister” features Dorothy in the movie as well! That’s why I name my chase vehicles “Dorothy” because it combines our favorite movies while still reminding me of my grandma. I think of her every time I’m out chasing storms! I miss her more than words can describe! Funny thing, a lot of my storm chases ALWAYS lead me to church parking lots to get great views of the storms in action! Sorry for the long post y’all. Just wanted to share. 🙏🏾❤️‍🩹😔
