Question: how pray tell would someone who is against gun ownership confiscate guns from gun owners who... uh... have guns? If your answer is to coerce with a gun, then you understand that only guns can deal with guns, hence the 2nd amendment. Bad guys will always have guns.
We NEED to get rid of the second amendment. I am Canadian but after hearing about the mass shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend Oregon, I am willing to make the trip over to the states to go door to door confiscating firearms. Conservatives don’t care about children.

Marx's famous slogan, "from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs," sounds really nice but its quiet on the most important part. This describes distribution, not who has the authority to distribute. Since resources are scarce and not abundant, someone has to define needs and contributions, and whoever has that authority has tremendous power over the individual. This is why, even if it's not the intention, socialism opens the door to tyranny.

The NFL should have done KPOP Demon Hunters instead of Bad Bunny for half time. What a monumentally missed opportunity. Seriously, how pumped up would the live audience be after "What it Sounds Like?" That would have been an experience. What a shame.

You know, I just randomly encountered a Margret Sanger quote that is false, but actually less damning than the truth, and a good demonstration why a racial lens is almost always stupid. The false quote goes, "Colored people are like human weeds and need to be exterminated." She never said this. But she did publish this: "Every single case of inherited defect, every malformed child, every feeble-minded man or woman is of infinite importance to the whole world. The potential mother of every one of these should be classed as an enemy of the race." This is so much darker, considering that race was only one qualifier for what she considered a quality population. It was a much broader brush.

These Hilary Clinton quotes, which are often placed by the false one, are true and give a whole new meaning of the word "basket of deplorables": “I admire Margaret Sanger enormously, her courage, her tenacity, her vision… taking on archetypes, taking on attitudes and accusations flowing from all directions. I am really in awe of her.” And “The 20th century reproductive rights movement, really embodied in the life and leadership of Margaret Sanger, was one of the most transformational in the entire history of the human race… Yet we know that Margaret Sanger’s work here in the United States and certainly across our globe is not done.” Not ominous at all. Certainly not if she was also the type to have so little respect for Republican women that she believes that MOST are "handmaidens for the patriarchy."

The Bruno Mars' halftime shows were exactly what halftime shows should be. Exciting, broadly appealing, family friendly, but most importantly apolitical. The overwhelming goal was a good time, and Mars is a master at this. If you don't have these goals and you want to be an activist, let's just remember that activism works from a space only for a limited time because that space burns down as a result of that activism. In this case, since the halftime show has already been "activismed" in past years, for me, it's already been destroyed. The Bad Bunny controversy is just a reflection of a corpse; the backlash an exasperated groan. I doubt seriously anyone will ever again set the goal of being entertaining or even fun anymore. The commercials understand, at least for now.

Tufts University food healthfulness system ranked Lucky Charms cereal as healthier than ground beef. Sadly, this is how nutrition experts have lost the public trust. Dr. Nina Teicholz talks about how politics and whole foods intersect in @WSJ op ed: wsj.com/opinion/how-democrat… @ninateicholz

Or, you could just eat ruminants.
Big Pharma hyped Ozempic and Metformin to moms. Meanwhile, a natural option that supports metabolism—with far fewer downsides—got sidelined. It’s called berberine, used for ~3,500 years. Here’s why it helps: 1.While pharma chased pricey patents, traditional Chinese practitioners used this golden plant compound to steady blood sugar and stoke metabolism—no scripts, minimal side effects, just time-tested herbal medicine. 2.What is berberine? A vivid yellow alkaloid from barberry, goldenseal, and tree turmeric. Ancient healers dubbed it the “golden healer.” Modern researchers often nickname it “nature’s Metformin.” 3.The part they skip: berberine activates AMPK—the same pathway targeted by expensive drugs—flipping a metabolic switch so cells burn rather than store fat. No prescription required. 4.Blood-sugar perks that matter: - Lowers fasting glucose (meaningfully) - Improves insulin sensitivity - Reduces HbA1c - Head-to-head studies show effects comparable to Metformin—without the usual GI drama If you want a top-tier berberine, this is the one I like—enhanced with Ceylon Cinnamon + absorption aids, third-party tested, 1200 mg potency: amazon.com/dp/B0DJC3YYX9?maa… 5.Brain bonuses you rarely hear about: berberine crosses the blood-brain barrier and may help guard cognition. Many report clearer focus, steadier mood, and sharper thinking—stable glucose supports a high-performing brain. 6.Gut link = major: berberine shapes the microbiome—supporting beneficial microbes while crowding out troublemakers. Healthier gut → better metabolism, calmer skin, stronger immunity. Think “reset” for digestion. 7.Inflammation, meet extinguisher: chronic inflammation crushes metabolic health and drives belly fat. Berberine helps cool the fire. Less inflammation → better fat-burning environment. 8.Fat-loss impact: beyond glucose control, berberine nudges metabolic programming. Studies show ~5+ lbs average loss in ~12 weeks. In short: more “burn,” less “store.” 9.How to use wisely: start ~500 mg before meals, 2–3× daily. Take with food to reduce stomach upset. Consider cycling after 8–12 weeks. Don’t combine with diabetes meds without medical guidance. 10.Side-effect reality: unlike Ozempic’s nausea/vomiting and “Ozempic face,” berberine’s most common issue is mild, short-lived GI discomfort. It tends to work with your biology, not against it. Here’s the same premium berberine I recommend: amazon.com/dp/B0DJC3YYX9?maa… Transparency note: this thread contains affiliate links; I may earn a commission (no extra cost to you). Educational content only—not medical advice. Talk to your clinician before changing your routine. Bottom line they won’t say out loud: you don’t need $1,000/month injections or patented pills with harsh trade-offs. A 3,500-year-old solution has been here all along—they just buried it. If this helped, share it. Your health shouldn’t be hostage to corporate interests. Follow @RowanPierce305 for more under-the-radar health truths. Repost so more people see this.

‘The telos of Lewis and MacIntyre could not be more different, despite shared rhetoric. Lewis sought to preserve man as a rational, moral agent grounded in objective being; MacIntyre sought to reconstitute moral reasoning as tradition-bound practice. One safeguarded Natural Law and constitutional liberty; the other subordinated them to community and history. That this appropriation has gone largely unnoticed (???) is itself evidence of how deeply veilcraft has shaped modern awareness and discussion. To recover liberty today requires not simply affirming ‘virtue’ but recognizing, articulating and acknowledging its metaphysical ground in being. Anything less is to accept, however unintentionally, ‘virtue’ without being - the captivity of Communitarianism.’ open.substack.com/pub/thepal…

Here's the thing about the latest Netflix uproar. I just have no anger left. I'm tired now. This has just become hyper annoying. Netflix saw value in the show. I don't, and many other parents probably don't, but I don't care that Netflix took the risk. I don't like being tricked, so I would appreciate some kind of label to indicate the show has gender ideology in it, so I can quietly say no thank you and move on, or a global setting that lets me choose whether I believe this content is appropriate for 7+ year olds. That's not unreasonable. No revolt is required. Just look at Disney movies that did this. Lots of failure there. If you're thinking, "I'm gonna cancel my sub until they remove this show!", not only do you sound like a woke activist, and a toddler, you make it anti-fragile and more popular, for free, not less. Trump uses that tactic all day long. Think about the GOYA Buy-cott after the boycott. Quiet refusal or support is usually better than LOUD NOISES. The show would likely quietly disappear if enough parents feel the same way, and I think at this point they do. It will be around a lot longer though the more squeaking about it happens. Again, improve the information so I don't have to guess if the programming contains it, but otherwise, it's not worth the activism. There isn't any force here, and the "I can finally be myself" trans scenes were cliche the day they started writing them. And it's not a hidden agenda anymore. You can now see this ideology from a mile away. I can just not watch the one show. We already indicated "not for me." That's more than enough.

Update: the show was already canceled after two seasons back in 2023. I didn't know the extra backlash was due to the creator making some very dumb comments about Charlie Kirk which brought it back into focus. Honestly, though, there doesn't seem to be any real good evidence one way or the other he said or even denied he said it. This even more so seems like a much smaller thing compared to other things going on. There's also a graphic from 2023 of internal DEI results. That was 2023, not 2024. Also old. Still not convinced canceling my subscription is the right way to go. What are they are they doing this moment that would cause me to cancel?

Seeing a lot of new research coming out lately about all kinds of b vitamins and not being able to use them due to some kind of issue. I have thoughts: You can't find B12 in plants. The best, most biavailable of all b vitamin sources are animal based. Beef and beef organs, fish, and eggs especially. On an animal based diet, your body usually functions correctly, especially metabolically; high chance you'll be using them. Animal based diets are for healing your metabolic issues. This information requires no effort except to just eat if you're animal based. Unless you have a complication <- rare, but possible. So... I think this is another strike against a plant forward no beef diet recommendation if we're seeing population level b vitamin issues.

Medication doesn't heal you. It can maintain you. It can relieve pain. It can replace things that are beyond healing. It can help other medication perform "better". It can kill a biological invader, and sometimes clear the path to healing. But only your body can heal you. And it can only do that if you feed it properly.

Enantiodromia is the fate of all extremism. What goes too far becomes its opposite. Cruelness can spark kindness, and too much kindness turns cruel. It's so much worse than being a hypocrite. Hypocrisy acts. Enantiodromia transforms. This is how hate transforms you.

Excellent huerisric.
In a free society, we investigate a crime to see who committed it. We do not investigate a man to see what crimes we can charge him with. I don't know the Tate brothers. We've never had so much as a conversation. I don't know what did or didn't happen. But I know what a fish smells like. When DeCarlos Brown was arrested, we knew exactly what for. The news didn't call it "the DeCarlos Brown case". They called it "the murder of Iryna Zarutska", because that's what it was. We knew exactly what crime was being investigated. It was the shortest whodunit in human history, because we had that shit on video, but it was a whodunit nonetheless. There was a story. We all knew the story. When Donald Trump was hauled in front of a New York City kangaroo court, it wasn't the result of the investigation of some crime that any of us had heard about or understood. No, he was "charged". With some "charges". As if he were a pocket smartphone. What were the "charges"? What horrible thing happened which drew this investigation? The news was a whole lot less forthcoming on what actually happened than on what the "charges" were. There was no story. All we heard was what an icky person Trump is, and how he had been charged with mysterious, nebulous, unspecified "felonies", as if you couldn't charge a ham sandwich with a felony. A ham sandwich, at least, has some meat on it. Now I hear that the Tate brothers are repeatedly being charged with "human trafficking" and "rape", but all I'm hearing, from the people who are in favor of this, is what icky people they are. There's no story. They are oddly silent about what happened. I'm sure some homunculus will pop up in the comments section telling me I should "do my own research", construct a shovel made of copious amounts of my time and attention, and dig until I get at what the allegations are. But I wasn't born yesterday. I know perfectly well that if you have a damning story, you lead with it. You don't spend hour after hour, page after page, talking about how the accused is an icky person who gives off scummy vibes. If the law is on your side, talk about the law. If the facts are on your side, talk about the facts. If neither the law nor the facts are on your side, malign the character of the accused. If you want me to believe the Tate brothers have done something wrong other than "oppose global communism" or "make boomers uncomfortable", then I want to hear the story. Accuse them of doing a thing, in a place, to a person, on a date. Not of doing something or other, somewhere, to someone or other, at some indefinite time in the past. And I want to see the evidence. Because if it supported your case, you would be eager to show it to me. You would be shoving it in front of my twitter feed every 27 seconds, over and over again, the way we did with that video of Iryna getting stabbed. Instead, all I see is a lot of aspersions and words, words, words. Look, you may hate the Tates. They admit they got their fortune started by feeding people's porn addictions. Guys like that, yeah, obviously they don't care about hurting strangers to get ahead. But you know damn well that's not what they're being targeted for. They're being targeted because they are an obstacle in the way of the people who want to burn down Western Civilization and roll around in the ashes masturbating. And if you help them get the Tates, if you let them emotionally manipulate you enough to forget what your priorities are, and who your enemies are, then you're next. And if they can't find anything on you, they'll make something up. Remember Julian Assange? Remember Cody Wilson? Hell, if my takedowns of the left get popular enough, I fully expect to someday be accused of killing a bunch of civilians in a warzone, or sexing up teenagers, or buggering ducks on the Sabbath, or something. This is just their playbook, as written by Saul Alinsky. It's what they do.

Yep. This.
Both Don and Matt are wrong here and I'll explain why What liberalism gets wrong is wanting to remove any influence of religion on our body politic and culture There are pragmatic concerns (ex: fears of theocracy) for doing so, but it leaves a moral vacuum (that secularism cannot fill) which creates untold societal crises that we are dealing with today (ex: epidemics of drug abuse, loneliness and despair) Don is wrong to conflate the religious revivalism we saw at Charlie Kirk's memorial with religious nationalism (though there are some on the right who would hijack it in this direction) The reactionary backlash from voices like Matt Walsh is just as destructive: cheering "divine permission" as a mandate to govern...even if Matt isn't specifically championing Christian Nationalism, which he will no doubt be accused of (IMO he was just replying in-kind to Don's own extreme wording) But we already know what the right answer to this debate is The Founding Fathers struck the perfect balance: ironclad separation of church and state to prevent coercion, paired with recognition that our nation's bedrock...our inalienable rights endowed by a Creator...draws from divine providence. Faith informs our values, our ethics and our story without the state imposing its own dogma like communism or fascism Let's reclaim that wisdom and common sense, rather than embrace ideology

Yep. Exactly.

The problem with this apology is that it's for only half the problem. The other half of the problem is that when it was thought to be true, the reaction was support for the forfeiting of a life over words, not actions, words. When there are words being thrown around, like NAZI, that are being said not because they're true, but so that someone can be dehumianized, and thus selectively eliminated, "Opps, I didn't realise that wasn't true", addresses the information error but doesn't address the approval. You can now see stickers on cars reading "NAZI lives dont matter," that's not the same thing as trying to raise up a group. It’s darker. Dehumanizing. Replace that with fascist - Charlie was not, but he was killed because the person who shot him didn't know he wasn’t and believed that he was, and believed that fascist lives don't matter. That's the heart of the persistent anger and still unaddressed.
The horrible, evil, twisted liar apologizes. This is what I get for reading something on Twitter w/o fact-checking. Won't happen again.

Haha this. Definitely this.
Whenever you see the labels "fat-free", "low-fat", "sugar-free" or "keto-friendly". Just use the words "chemical sh*t storm" in their place.
