Analogue maverick with agnostic leanings. A hive of pop culture trivia lies within. Don't bother to wipe your feet. It's just floorboards. 🎸🎧📻📺🎥🎬🎭🎨📸

Great photograph. (Shame about some of the moronic comments.)

🎻 Slade  Issue Cover: August 24 1974 Publication: Music Star (UK) Date: August 24 1974 Price: 8p (Weekly Saturday Edition) Summary: This vibrant Music Star cover from August 24 1974 captures the exuberant spirit of mid‑1970s pop culture. The issue features Alvin Stardust, Don Powell, and Morgan Fisher among its highlighted personalities, with playful headlines such as “Alvin Answers,” “Don’s Dreams,” and “Morgan of Mott.” The magazine’s design — bold typography, saturated color, and cheerful portrait photography — reflects the glam‑pop aesthetic of the era. The cover tagline “We Join David Cassidy in Monte Carlo” situates the publication firmly within the teen‑idol and pop‑rock crossover scene that dominated British music journalism in 1974.

Truly the end of an era. .. and to use a disturbingly archaic and inappropriate 'country and western' music trope .. The closure of the original #EricsClubLiverpool was akin to your girlfriend leaving you .. the crops failing .. and the fucking dog dying all at the same time.

I remember it well. Still mourn it today in some ways. Brady's cropped up later but it was never the same. .. And as for 'Eric's' as it exists today? Absolutely no comparison. Keeping the name is nothing more than a marketing ploy to garner tourist curiosity. #EricsClubOriginal

OTD 23 August 1980 the Heatwave Festival took place at Mosport Park Toronto. Talking Heads, The Pretenders, The B-52s, Rockpile were amongst those on the bill. Elvis Costello opened his set saying 'Hello, we're The Clash' - who had pulled out of the (loss-making) gig. #newwave

Absolutely. Man behind the lens on so many superb photographs. He practically captured the entire 1960s on film. Great stuff. #DavidBailey 📷
