San Mateo Midstream has secured two long-term natural gas agreements in the Northern Delaware Basin and announced plans to expand its Marlan processing complex in New Mexico. The proposed 300 MMcf/d processing train will include a nitrogen rejection unit, approximately 20 miles of new pipelines and a carbon dioxide removal facility. Completion is targeted for the end of 2028. Following the expansion, San Mateo expects its total natural gas processing capacity to exceed 1.3 Bcf/d, with the additional business potentially generating more than $100 million in Adjusted EBITDA by the end of 2029. South Korea’s Kukdo Chemical has agreed to acquire LG Chem’s bisphenol A (BPA) business at its Daesan plant for 78.4 billion won, covering operations with an annual capacity of 165,000 tonnes. The acquisition could strengthen Kukdo’s feedstock security for epoxy resin production, while supporting LG Chem’s strategy to reduce its exposure to commodity petrochemicals and focus on higher-value-added products.
