The older I get, the more I understand why people choose Jesus, gardens, books, home-cooked meals, and long walks. The world tells us to chase money, attention, and approval. Jesus teaches us to seek Him first. At some point, you stop chasing what the world offers and start protecting the peace only God can give.

Have a good week everyone and remember: Embarrassment only exists because we mistake vulnerability for humiliation. There’s nothing inherently shameful about trying, caring, reaching out, or being seen. We give other people’s perceptions far too much power over our existence.x

One of the things I appreciate most about getting older is becoming increasingly honest with myself about what I can accept, what I can work through, and what I will no longer tolerate.

There should be a word for the peculiar exhaustion of being the person who always finds a way. Especially on the days when you desperately wish someone else would find the way for you.

I used to be a firm advocate of having just one child until I had one. πŸ˜‚ See, unless you’re ready to spend the rest of your life being a clown and entertainer for that one child, you might want to rethink it. Experience is always the best teacher sha.
I’m just very happy about this one child discourse on the TL. I’m glad I’m not alone. I currently don’t have kids but I know you can’t pay me to have more than one.

There's a kind of discipline and maturity in knowing how to keep good news private until you're ready to share it, handle bad news without telling the entire world and work through personal problems without making everyone a participant. Not everything needs an audience.

yes this is how emotionally regulated adults break up
Ever dated someone who disappeared completely after the breakup? No calls, no texts, no drama. They just moved on like you never existed.

Mentee Spotlight ✨ Myra Moses Gomba - In Loving Memory πŸ•ŠοΈ Forever Loved. Forever Missed ❀️ Myra’s journey into cybersecurity was one of courage, curiosity, and determination. Transitioning from Biological Sciences into technology, she grew her skills in Security Operations, threat hunting, incident investigation, and SIEM engineering. Beyond her technical skills , she was a dependable team player and a thoughtful leader. Her dedication led to two cybersecurity internships and a role as a Cybersecurity Instructor, where she was looking forward to sharing her knowledge with others. One of the defining parts of Myra’s journey was her approach to learning. She was never content with simply knowing that something worked; she wanted to understand what was happening beneath the surface, test what she found, and make sense of the bigger picture. The mentorship gave her room to explore that curiosity, turn knowledge into practical capability, and contribute meaningfully to the people and community around her. Dear Myra, you were a shining light, and your impact will never be forgotten. Though you are no longer here, your memory will forever live in my heart 🀍

My parents used to get a lot of "prophecies" about my sister and me, and as a teen, I was also often told I had β€œgreat potential.” If there's one hard lesson adulthood has taught me, it's that 'potential' actually means very little if you don't actively build your life.

I really hope women understand that you can be a wonderful person with a few embarrassing stories attached to your name. Please don’t spend your entire adulthood trying to prove you were never young, confused, impulsive or human.

One of the most irritating things in this era πŸ˜…
Just having something bringing in 300-500 bucks on the side makes a huge difference in Canada.
