I am personally on the side of the Ukrainian Chess Federation, an ECU member, without asterisks, compromises, negotiations and soft agreements behind their back.
There is clear intervention to the Ukrainian chess federation authority as is and illegal occupation in Ukrainian sports jurisdiction land.
It is unacceptable to a country that facing daily, civilian causalities to be ignored its national sports and federation's authority and not be asked if and how they want to be represented!
It i time to reintroduce all and state if we really support the FIDE statutes, rules and if we respect members federations.

An embarrassing day for chess.
Turlov was obviously the Russian 🇷🇺 preferred candiate, with Dvorkovich, Karjakin, Balgabaev,Glukhovsky and of course the Chess Federation of Russia supporting him.
Now Russia will continiue using FIDE for soft power.
Saddening and embarassing.
