Tic-tac-toe has been solved for a century and people still play it on restaurant placemats. Checkers was solved in 2007 and the world championship is still running. Solved ≠ boring. Chess will be fine. Until then, our board's open whenever you are!

Wrong, all legal chess positions are ~40 oom less than the estimated atoms in the Universe. And ASI will figure out ways to solve and compress that are far beyond what we could possibly comprehend. (Here I am arguing with some random intern at a chess website 🤦‍♂️)

At this position I asked the chatbot what it would recommend for my plan at this point and it gave me several key ideas in human readable text. Gone are the overly brief chess.com style ideas or complicated multi-step engine lines.

We analyzed 3 million chess games to understand what actually changes as players go from: Beginner → Amateur → Intermediate → Expert A lot of advice says “study openings” or “solve tactics.” The data speaks so much more.

7) Beginners love 1. e4. And honestly, it makes sense. It’s the first opening most people learn, and half of beginner YouTube says “start with e4.” But as rating increases, players branch out into d4, c4, Nf3, and more. Stronger players don’t just know more moves. They have more options.
