Kenya's greatest resource is not beneath our soil, it is the talent, energy and ambition of our young people. Our responsibility is to turn that potential into opportunity.
Engaging more than 6,000 young Kenyans at the PAG Church National Conference in Nyang'ori, Vihiga County, I challenged them to embrace skills, TVET, technology, agribusiness, entrepreneurship and the creative economy. There is dignity in every honest job, learn a skill, embrace innovation and don't only look for employment, think about how you can create it.
H.E. President @WilliamsRuto , the Government and I remain committed to opening these pathways, including through programmes such as NYOTA and Kazi Majuu, which under my docket at the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs is connecting Kenyans to legitimate employment opportunities abroad.
Above all, protect the future you are working to build. Stay away from drugs and substance abuse, make responsible choices and take your health seriously, including in the continued fight against HIV and AIDS.
Kenya needs its young people skilled, healthy, ambitious and ready to lead.

This morning, I participated in a High-Level Leaders Breakfast Meeting at the Nairobi Serena Hotel, convened by the Office of the Women Rights Advisor to the President, led by @ChiggaiCS. The forum was centred on the vital theme of 'Championing Women's Empowerment Partnership for a Bold and Inclusive Future,' setting the stage for a crucial dialogue on gender equality.
In my address, I emphasized the fundamental connection between land rights and women's empowerment. I articulated that land is far more than a mere physical asset; it is a foundational source of identity, economic security, social status, livelihood, and human dignity. It is for these profound reasons that securing women's right to own land is an absolute necessity.
To turn this principle into reality, I issued a call to action for robust partnerships across key institutions. I urged for collaborative efforts between Parliament, various government ministries, civil society organizations, and development partners to actively prioritize and advance women's empowerment in all matters pertaining to land.
The significant event was honoured by the presence of Chief Guest @AmbMonicaJuma - the National Security Advisor to the President, alongside numerous other distinguished women leaders. Their attendance underscored a shared and high-level commitment to this critical agenda.

I’m still buzzing with energy after an incredible Day 1 at the Women In Data Summit 2025. Sitting on a panel alongside such brilliant minds was a true honor, and the conversations we shared were nothing short of transformative.
The main idea of the event is using data to build resilience. We focused on one big question: How do we use data about women to actually make a difference? The answer is simple: data is the key to empowering women economically, but only if we use it purposefully.
We need stronger data governance to ensure women are not only seen but also understood in the numbers.
