“I fell into mortal sin, please pray for me” has turned into code for “I committed masterbation”. At this point it just feels performative.

E-Thomists get a girlfriend and then abandon all their prior moral principles lol
The permissibility of kissing follows quite naturally from the principle of the triplex delectatio. Sensible, venereal, and affective pleasure are formally disparate, even though they have a certain material concurrence. Pleasure is specified by its formal object, and no inference follows from material concurrence to formal identity. Nor is the will involved in the cause sufficient to establish venereal consent where the appetite terminates in the pleasure of honest affection. The inchoatio remota coniugii should not be confounded with the inchoatio proxima copulae. So neither material concomitance nor remote ordination suffices for venereal specification. The contrary inference confounds the disposition with its terminus and the sensible substrate with the formal object of delight.

This should be remarkably uncontroversial if you actually read Humanae Vitae
So @michaeljknowles just said on his podcast today that avoiding sex during fertility windows specifically to avoid pregnancy can be a sin, according to Catholic teaching.

Father Chad Ripperger: Yeah demons really don’t like the Blessed Virgin Mary. They freak out whenever you asks for the intercession of the saints in general, you should pray to them. Chuds online: Father Chad Ripperger is spreading the teachings of DEMONS
The things he says demons say to him about the smallest details of life become moral teachings he gives to the public.

Only two of the individuals are problematic. So overall the appointments are fine. The problem is that all 20 of them should be rock solid on Catholic teaching, and there should be zero representation of heretics.
Pope Leo named over 20 members to the theological body advising the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith today Some of them question the Church's teaching on ordination and sexuality: advocating for female deacons & for the Church to update its moral teaching Analysis below

Spreading the video of the priest dying is basically just spreading gore. It’s completely disgusting and there is no excuse for it
Anyone posting or reposting the video of the priest getting killed during Mass needs to get their ass to confession. There’s a special place in hell for those who treat the dignity of the priesthood with such carelessness and disrespect.

He probably got his offer withdrawn after he and his family ripped off their clothes during dinner in front of Marcus Freeman. sports.yahoo.com/articles/by…
BYU QB Bear Bachmeier said Notre Dame "disrespected me and my family pretty badly" when he was in high school, and that "there are some receipts kept." He declined to elaborate but said, "I wasn't going to lose to those guys tonight."

She ran a hospice for the destitute who were rejected by hospitals under a national morphine crackdown and the Lancet editor credited her with cleanliness, wound care and kindness. Reddit brain
🚨 NEW: Joe Rogan was in shock when historical storyteller Cody Tucker revealed that Mother Teresa was actually a horrible person who kept dying patients in horrible conditions while massive donations flowed to the Vatican: TUCKER: “She's a scumbag. Mother Teresa never did anything good.” CONTEXT: In 1994, a physician named Robin Fox visited Mother Teresa's Home for the Dying in Calcutta. Fox wasn't some anonymous critic. He was the editor of The Lancet, one of the world's most prestigious medical journals. And what he described was deeply troubling. Medical care was inconsistent. Some decisions were made by nuns and volunteers without formal medical training. Basic diagnostic investigations were rarely available. And the facility did not have strong painkillers in its medication supply. Fox described a patient with a high fever who initially received paracetamol and an antibiotic before a visiting doctor suspected malaria and changed the treatment. His central objection was that patients who might have treatable conditions weren't being reliably distinguished from people who were actually dying. Think about that. Someone could arrive believing they were receiving medical care when they might have needed a proper diagnosis, referral or treatment. And this wasn't the only criticism. In 2013, three Canadian academics published a critical review of Mother Teresa's life and work in the journal Studies in Religion. They questioned her approach to caring for the sick, her political relationships and the management of the enormous donations her organization received. One of their central concerns was whether a religious belief in the spiritual value of suffering had been allowed to influence the standard of care provided to vulnerable patients. Mother Teresa believed suffering could have profound spiritual meaning. But there's a difference between helping someone find meaning in unavoidable suffering... AND FAILING TO RELIEVE SUFFERING THAT MEDICINE COULD PREVENT. There is also an important complication. During the 1990s, India had extraordinarily restrictive regulations governing access to morphine. Human Rights Watch later documented that India's medical morphine consumption collapsed by approximately 97% between 1985 and 1997. Even major hospitals struggled to obtain adequate pain medication. So the absence of strong painkillers at Mother Teresa's facilities does not, by itself, prove she deliberately withheld them because she wanted patients to suffer. And Fox acknowledged something critics often leave out: The home he visited provided cleanliness, wound care and genuine kindness to desperately poor people. The Missionaries of Charity also cared for people whom hospitals had turned away. Mother Teresa saw her mission primarily as offering dignity, love and spiritual comfort to the abandoned, rather than operating conventional hospitals. Critics have questioned the Missionaries of Charity's financial transparency for decades. But Tucker's more specific allegation that Mother Teresa funneled donated money to the Vatican rather than caring for patients has not been established by the evidence reviewed here. That distinction matters. IMPORTANT NOTES: Mother Teresa received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. The Catholic Church canonized her as a saint in 2016. To millions of people, she remains one of the greatest symbols of compassion in modern history. But the historical record also contains serious criticisms that deserve examination rather than automatic dismissal. The most disturbing question isn't whether Mother Teresa personally believed suffering had spiritual value. It's whether that belief, combined with the way her facilities operated, ever resulted in people enduring pain or illness that could have been treated. Because there is a fundamental difference between helping someone die with dignity... And allowing someone to suffer when they might not have needed to.

This is really just modernist nonsense. For starters, you can’t believe this as a Catholic in good standing. Second, the interpretation of the Song of Songs is based off of textual evidence within the passage itself, it’s not something that authors grabbed out of thin air.

Also, if this interpretation was something simply post-hoc and became relevant due to the widespread acceptance into the canon, we should expect authors trying to rehabilitate the text at some point. Instead, all commentators (both Jewish and Christian) agree on the allegorical understanding.

The state is supposed to be an interpreter of the eternal law and apply it to particular scenarios. If it errors in its application, it is more than acceptable for individuals to try and make a plea for mercy.
A question for the pro-death penalty side: In 2010, a Catholic woman from a village in Pakistan was sentenced to death after a squabble with her Muslim neighbors over a cup of water. They claimed she slandered Mohammed i.e. committed the act of blasphemy. The state mandated she be given the death penalty. Pope Benedict stepped in and called for her release. She spent 8 years in jail but was eventually released and fled the country in 2018. Question: Should the Pope have remained silent and not intervened with the affairs of Pakistan and their use of the death penalty?

If a Christian says Jesus is God, is that blasphemy under the Noahide laws? and does the Talmud say the penalty is death? Where does the Talmud say Jesus is right now? Answer the question.

Godbless Father Waldstein for having the courage to speak truth!
It seems I was correct the nub of the issue between Waldstein and his superiors was his defense of the principled liceity of burning heretics, even if no longer practical, which (the article implies) he held to be an infallible teaching of Exsurge Domine. die-tagespost.de/kultur/feui…

Pope Leo has been so unproblematic that the Orthos have to go back over 4 years to find a singular incident where Nancy Pelosi had to receive communion in a completely different country at a mass with thousands of attendees lol
Remember when an rc bishop excommunicated Nancy Pelosi for supporting abortion and the pope overruled him so that she, the abortionist, could keep communing?
