Manage Expectations: Despite our best efforts at boosting our CV's in every way possible, the IMG+visa label affects us, sometimes even years later. It will hopefully all work out, but put in contingency plans for whatever that worst outcome might look like. (6/7)

University-based IM residency programs get 55% of their applications from international medical graduates (IMGs). Yet IMGs make up only 16% of the applicants ranked by these programs, and comprise just ~22% of their residents. link.springer.com/article/10…

(10/11) If you're a program director or you're involved in any way in the vetting/selection process for the Match, please make sure you've been exposed and are aware of the tedious process that is in place for IMG's to make it to your interview day/program.
