A critically endangered Diademed sifaka hanging on for dear lifeโbut losing grip on existence in this world.
Madagascar is stricken with extreme poverty, so hunting these large sifakas for bushmeat has soared, even in protected areas. Slash-and-burn for timber and sugar cane plantations for illegal rum is destroying their food trees.
Touchingly, they diligently patrol their territory every morning, carefully scent marking their trees to protect itโbut they are defenseless against the ravages we inflict on them.
Long-lived and slow-to-reproduce, now also with high infant mortality (50%), wasting in adults and stunting in immatures as we systematically remove their means to exist.
The tiny, isolated groups in the fragmented reserves may already be genetically non-viable long-term.
It will take a miracleโor someone with enormous wealthโ to save this spectacular species from extinction within my lifetime.

At just 3 years old, Chase has already experienced more hardship than any dog should ever have to endure. When he arrived into our care through the stray system, he was in a heart-breaking condition. His skin was painfully inflamed, sore, and clearly causing him discomfort. It was evident that this lovely boy had not received the care and attention he deserved.
Since arriving with us, Chase has been receiving veterinary treatment and plenty of TLC. With regular medicated baths, a consistent routine, and lots of love, his skin is already beginning to heal and heโs making fantastic progress every day. Despite everything heโs been through, Chase hasnโt lost his faith in people. He is an incredibly affectionate, gentle boy who simply wants to be loved. He greets everyone with a wagging tail and a kind heart, always eager to make friends and be part of the action.
Chase has been friendly with the dogs he has met so far and could happily live with another canine companion. Equally, he would thrive as the only dog in the home where he can enjoy being the centre of attention and soak up all the love for himself. He would be best suited to a home with older children who can understand and respect his boundaries while he continues to grow in confidence. Chase already knows his basic commands and is highly food motivated, making him a pleasure to work with and continue training.
All Chase is asking for is what every dog deserves โ a safe home, a comfy bed, and a family who will love him for the rest of his life. After such a difficult start, weโd love nothing more than to see this special boy finally get the happy ending heโs waited so patiently for.

We live in a world now where if you have an idea, a goal, a good bunch of people and a smart phone you can pretty much do whatever you want.
Whatโs difficult is that unless you have 1,000,000+ social media followers or youโve been on Love Island itโs hard to get peopleโs attention. What I have however, that gives me a huge advantage is a solid team of good people around me with the same mindset, the same values and the same drive as me, so rather than complain about how unfair the world can be we just decide what we want, create a plan and execute.
Right now weโre filming a documentary about my life (well, parts of it) because despite any negative feedback weโve had we believe it can do well and help people.

Hardly exciting that yet another poor creature spends her life in a barren concrete cell.
But exciting for Point Defiance zoo that they make plenty of money from people coming to gawk at this poor baby and her forcibly inseminated mum kept prisoner every miserable day of their lives.
This forced birth is utterly pointless and cruel when these tapirs have no home, and are endangered not because they can't breed, but because their habitat has been destroyed from deforestation, agricultural expansion (including palm oil plantations), and infrastructure development.
What would be exciting is if instead of this commercial wildlife exploitation, money and resources were used to reduce threats to their *wild* survival.

A hedgehog *out in the open* in the day is in serious trouble and needs urgent help.
Always.
No exceptions.
Any size.
Any time.
Hedgehogs are nocturnal prey animals, they have no defences in the daytime, it's deadly dangerous for them.
They are designed to hunt at night, to navigate and catch insects in the dark, occupying a specific ecological niche.
They are not adapted to withstand high temperatures, and their shape means they would rapidly dehydrate during daylight hours.
They are nocturnal animals.
So they don't come out in the day simply because they're hungry, or lost, or disturbed, or to move nests, or for any other trivial reason.
They come out in the day because it's warmer than the night and they are feeling cold.
Deadly cold.
They're feeling cold because they're so sick they're starting to die, and hypothermia is a stage of dying. Blood has been redirected to the vital organs, keeping them alive as long as possible, leaving the limbs feeling cold.
If you see a hedgehog like this, out in the open, in the day time, no matter how 'well' he looks, it is an emergency.
Please take them to a rescue (never a vet) URGENTLY.

This gorgeous boy was a stray found terrified, injured and wearing a shock collar tightened into his neck.
After a lot of veterinary checks and care he is now fully ready for rehoming.
He has been in foster for us, so we know that he is frightened of men and will flee given half a chance
He needs a calm, kind home who understand the needs of firstly sighthounds but secondly and as importantly, dogs who will readily go into 'flight' mode.
This WILL change over months and time but at this time a home with at least one other patient dog and time to let him 'mend' and learn to trust. - Arundawn Dog Rescue

Absolutely no leads whatsoever, no one recognises him, the microchip phone contacts are not working. MicroChip address not near place he was found, no joy at microchip address.
He is safe for now but I suspect a medical condition and he may be receiving and need treatment.
He is an old boy, approx 11.
If you are the owner please get in touch, no judgement. We just need to know you are safe and we can provide him with a safe place, should you need itโฆ.
