Last night, Abd Abu Shahada was abducted & taken hostage by Apartheid Israel forces.
Abd Abu Shahada is the host of the al-Maydan podcast, which I listen to religiously. I've listened to hundreds if not thousands of hours of Abd Abu Shahada.
He is among the most thoughtful, sharp and wise analysts and observes among Palestinians in 1948. A real intellectual. That's why he is so dangerous to the Apartheid State.
In the hundreds/thousands of hours I've listen to his podcast, he's never uttered a single word of incitement. not even a single word in a single podcast that could even be construed as incitement.
this abduction is pure Israeli state terrorism and reflects the reigning ideology of the regime: Jewish supremacy from the river to the sea.

Netanyahu and Zini are escalating their efforts to steal the election. Last night, police and the Shin Bet abducted journalist Abd Abu Shahada from his home. The forces refused to present an arrest warrant, seized belongings without providing an inventory, and continue to withhold any information about his whereabouts.
Abd’s arrest is part of a broader campaign of arrests, interrogations and threats against political activists, designed to undermine the election results through the weaponization of the police and the Shin Bet. None of this will change one simple fact: Netanyahu lost the election, thanks to Arab citizens who turned out in massive numbers and kicked him out.
The state’s abduction of its own citizens is a grave crime. But we will not be intimidated, and we will not let them steal the election. The crimes committed by the police and the Shin Bet in Netanyahu’s service will not deter us from our just struggle to build a society and a state founded on freedom, justice and equality.

Their first order of business will certainly be to investigate and prosecute US officials responsible for complicity in genocide in Palestine, the crime of aggression in Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Somalia, Nigeria, and Venezuela, the murder of boaters in the Caribbean, and the abduction of the Venezuelan president.
They will also dismantle the lawless, political militia known as ICE, end the persecution and harassment of human rights defenders opposing genocide on college campuses and in US cities and punish the perpetrators. The excesses of the AUMF and Patriot Act will be immediately repealed and our rights restored. Israel regime proxy control of US institutions will be ended and punished, the First Amendment restored, and universal healthcare will finally be provided as a human right.
Right? ……. Right??

Every four years, the most sophisticated population-management exercise in human history takes place.
Billions of dollars spent.
Months of coverage.
A genuine, visceral, deeply felt sense among the population that this one matters. That this time the stakes are real. That the other side winning would be catastrophic.
And in the morning after, whoever wins: the military budget goes up, the Wall Street executives keep their bonuses, the pharmaceutical companies keep their pricing power, the weapons go to the same client states, and the machinery of empire runs its next cycle.
The genius is not that people are fooled.
The genius is that people are given something real to fight about: abortion, guns, immigration, crime, education, race, culture. Meanwhile the structural questions, the ones about who owns the economy and who decides when and where force is used, are quietly removed from the menu.
