Everything has been underfunded for years, both by government and private businesses. It was easy to make it look like austerity in the 2010s worked to “fix” the economy. But now in the 2020s we are seeing what lack of investment and funding has done to services & infrastructure

Air traffic control problems meant flight was delayed by an hour… Now landed and they can’t get a working ‘air bridge’ to take us off the plane. Does anyone else get the vibe that nothing really works anymore?

Yesterday (in daylight) a man pretended to be a police man to take me away to be searched. He threatened me saying if I didn’t follow his orders then a team from a police van within sight would swarm me. He followed me when I refused and moved away.

He then said to me “think carefully about you do next”. I started walking towards the police van and he sloped away just as I spoke to security. I am very greatful to the @ManchesterPride security who took this seriously with the minimal details I could give them about him.

He saw that I was left alone briefly when Joe went to the toilet and took his chance. I’m a 33 year old man. Nobody is safe from people like him and I just hope this near miss of him getting caught out means he didn’t try it with anyone else yesterday.
