I tried the mirror. Saw a goofy looking guy who could stand to mind his own business. Then I read the Bible and found enough finger-pointing in there to keep the whole town employed. If it’s improved your life, I’m glad. The mirror’s done more for mine.
The lady asked for devotional recommendations and this was her first and only comment.
Those aren’t devotionals, Amanda. That’s the ancient world’s deleted scenes. Enoch’s got angels misbehaving, and Adam and Eve apparently needed a sequel. I’ve read stranger fiction, but usually somebody has the decency to put a dragon on the cover.”
Happy Halloween, folks
How should Christians approach Halloween?
Christians tend to fall into four different camps when it comes to participating in Halloween:
- Total abstinence
- Full participation
- Partial participation
- Redemptive participation
Some abstain from Halloween altogether. Others fully participate in the festivities, while some enjoy the family fun without participating in the glorification of evil.
I believe the better alternative is redemptive participation.
My mom has set this example for me for years. She uses Halloween as an opportunity to share the gospel by attaching Bible verses to candy, making Scripture signs for her front lawn, and sharing the love of Jesus with the families who come to her door.
As she says, “What other time of year do you have people coming to your home and asking you for something? This is like the easiest evangelism opportunity possible.”
A night associated with darkness can actually be an opportunity to shine the light of Christ.
I don't hate Christians and neither do I the Jews.... sad human being this Arturo fellow is.

It doesn't matter what a person thinks, what matters is what is true.
Take evolution, there was no big bang, yet eons of people believe it happened. Go figure.
Jesus said he is the"truth", I tend to lean that way,
In the name of Jesus.
I don't hate Christianity. I question its claims and challenge its authority. Criticism isn't hatred, and skepticism isn't an obsession. I find it curious that people who devote their entire lives to a religion consider questioning that religion a personality flaw. If your faith is true, my disbelief can't harm it. If questioning threatens it, then maybe the problem isn't my skepticism.

Why do you hate Christianity? Why do you make it your entire personality?
I dont mean to be picky but I'm pretty sure christ was followed by the armies of heaven who were also on white horses...but okay
