- Barnes has been aggressive looking for his shot to start the season, clearing this line in 3/4 games while averaging 18.5 FGA per game. He’s scored 23+ points in all 3 wins, averaging 26.3 PPG in those contests. His only miss came against Minnesota, when he went 0/12 from the field in a clear outlier game, but the opportunities were still there.
- Kawhi Leonard is ruled out again with knee swelling, leaving Barnes and RJ Barrett as Toronto’s primary scoring options. In their first game without Kawhi, the two combined for 53 points on 35 FGA. With 13+ FGA, Barnes has cleared this line in 9 of his last 10 games, averaging 24.8 PPG.
- This game is in Toronto, where Barnes has historically been more productive and efficient throughout his career. He’s averaging 25.5 PPG through two home games this season and has scored 23+ points in five straight games at Scotiabank Arena dating back to last season.
- Orlando ranks 28th against opposing PFs in points allowed and 22nd in defensive rating this season. Several of their defensive weaknesses align with how Barnes has been scoring to start the year 👇
📈 23rd vs Transition | 47% of his points
📈 25th in Free Throws Allowed | 24% of his points
📈 22nd vs Restricted Area | 41% of Barnes’ shots
📈 23rd vs Shots Within 10 FT | 47% of Barnes’ shots
📈 27th vs Spot-Ups | 13% of his points
- Barnes just took advantage of this exact matchup on Wednesday, dropping 28 points on 11/17 shooting and 6/6 from the FT line. He scored 16 points in the third quarter alone and finished with 28 despite not making a single three. Orlando had no answer for his ability to attack the paint and finish around the basket, and he accomplished all of this in only 31 minutes during Toronto’s 30-point victory.
- The Magic remain shorthanded with Paolo Banchero, Jalen Suggs and Jonathan Isaac all ruled out. Isaac’s absence removes one of Orlando’s better defensive forwards, while Banchero’s injury leaves them with less size and depth in the frontcourt. Orlando ranks 20th in paint points allowed and 29th in opponent FT attempts allowed, giving Barnes opportunities to continue attacking inside and drawing contact. It only helps that he has made all 15 of his free throws through four games.
- Tonight’s rematch is part of the NBA Cup Group Stage, where point differential matters for tiebreakers. Toronto is favored by roughly 5 points with a projected total around 226, giving Barnes a reasonable opportunity for another full workload if Orlando keeps this one competitive. He already scored 28 in just 31 minutes against this same depleted defense, and the additional scoring responsibility without Kawhi should remain.
- Between the consistent shot volume, expanded offensive responsibility and a favorable matchup against an injured Orlando team he just dominated two days ago, we like Barnes to score 21+ points here.

I don’t eat this much juice too often but I’ll make an exception here. Boozer has covered this number in 4/4 games this season. He’s leading the Grizzlies in passes made per game (53.3) so far this year.
His potentials are what caught my eye. 8+ in 4/4 games with 9+ in 3/4. Coming off a massive 17 potentials last game where his teammates didn’t convert their shots for him. Clearly running a bunch of offensive sets through him.
The matchup doesn’t look good on paper with the Blazers allowing just 3.6 APG to PFs. Thats why this is still playable at 3.5 but that’s mainly because no other PFs the Blazers have faced are commanding the offense quite like Boozer is.
Boozer is finding over 60% of his assists inside the arc and I like this matchup as the Blazers outside of the top 10 in assists allowed in all three areas inside the arc including allowing the 9th most mid-range assists and 11th most assists in the non-RA paint.
Overall a solid spot. Trusting his role and potentials he should rack up. Hes played 30+ minutes in every game. His role is secure. Give me the over!

We like this spot for Kraft. Over in just 3/7 games this year but the targets have been solid with 5+ targets in 6/7 and 6+ in 5/7 including 4/L5 games. Worth noting Golden didn’t practice Monday/Tuesday and was limited on Wednesday. Regardless we like the spot.
His snap share is solidified in the 77% to 98% range this year and he’s the clear third option in the pass game with a 16.3% target share behind Watson/Golden. With 5+ targets he’s covered this number in 7/L10 games dating back to last season. That should be his floor.
The matchup is middle tier. The Panthers allow 46.3 yards per game to TEs but we still have seen plenty of TEs flourish in this matchup already this year:
Goedart - 61
LaPorta - 84
Fannin - 51
The Panthers are a heavy zone defense and 39% of Krafts targets come in areas where the Panthers defense is softly ranked. They struggle down the middle of the field and we think the Packers can exploit that here.
3.5 spread on this game. Should get a pretty neutral script and we think the Panthers will do their best to try to stop the run even with their run defense struggling mightily this year. If Golden ends up sitting there could be even more targets coming Krafts direction. We like the over!

- We like this spot for Kraft. He’s gone over this line in just 3/7 games this year, but the targets have been solid, with 5+ targets in 6/7 games and 6+ in 5/7, including 4 of his last 5. Worth noting that Golden didn’t practice Monday or Tuesday and was limited on Wednesday. Regardless, we like Kraft still to cover here.
- His snap share has been solidified in the 77% to 98% range this year, and he’s the clear third option in the passing game with a 16.3% target share behind Watson and Golden. With 5+ targets, he’s covered this number in 7 of his last 10 games dating back to last season. That should be his floor.
- The matchup is middle-tier. The Panthers allow 46.3 receiving yards per game to TEs, but we’ve still seen plenty of tight ends flourish in this matchup already this year.
Several TEs have found success against Carolina 👇
✅ Dallas Goedert: 61 Rec Yds
✅ Sam LaPorta: 84 Rec Yds
✅ Harold Fannin Jr.: 51 Rec Yds
- The Panthers are a heavy zone defense, and 39% of Kraft’s targets come in areas where Carolina’s defense ranks poorly. They struggle down the middle of the field, and we think the Packers can exploit that here.
- There’s a 3.5-point spread on this game, so we should get a pretty neutral game script. We think the Panthers will do their best to stop the run, even with their run defense struggling mightily this year. If Golden ends up sitting, there could be even more targets coming Kraft’s way.
