He's right. The flaccid right and all the left have so destroyed legal and illegal immigration it will have a stench for decades. All they had to do was crack down on illegal immigration and expend the effort to fix legal immigration over the past few decades. Now they let it get so broken Clowerd and Piven are cheering.
I've spent over 10 year now dealing with immigration for my wife and until the past year and a half American's providing an Affidavit of Support we're last on the list. Priorities have been backwards.

Listened to a Rufo/Lopez podcast recently where they had @R_H_Ebright on who made the point that COVID was downstream of Dick Cheney wanting to do an end run around bioweapons research and development restrictions and so ‘biodefense’ funding rose from about $53 million in FY2001 to $1.6 billion in FY2004 and then increased further with much of the funding going to NIAID under Fauci. Just worth noting how willing ‘institutional science’ was to get into bed with nat sec to do dangerous military work. This is probably why one of the first institutional talking points that became ubiquitous after COVID broke out was, ‘There is NO evidence this was a bioweapon, there is NO evidence this was a bioweapon’ because it probably was.

Knoxville Symphony posted this rehearsal video of Dvořák’s Cello Concerto, one of my favorite pieces to play. Gorgeous clarinet part with solos galore, wish I were playing it tonight like I should be.
But instead those solos will be played by the second-place finisher who got zero votes in the finals of their blind audition last fall, all because their CEO values “diversity” over merit and kicked me to the curb. Disgraceful.

2) The GOP is the only politically-viable vehicle for nationalist politics and anyone doing good work at the national level is doing it there
I need people who are justifiably skeptical of #2 not to think that it ignores #1 and hard working patriots in the GOP to realize the recognition of #1 does not invalidate #2

If you really have issues with the direction of the Republican Party, you do what the more populist reformers have done for years, you keep trying to reform the Republican Party. You don’t advocate voting for Democrats.
If you’re a “republican” advocating voting for Democrats, then you are just someone out for yourself and your power and prestige, you are not about reform. And there are many such cases today.
