An equitable start in life to age 25. Citizens Assembly report. Recommendation 4 but more widely @helengt76 @MarvinJRees how does also connect with the Belonging Strategy? Work SEND is doing around SEMH pathways? Are there any SEND advocates in this assembly? Just interested.
@votedannorris who wrote this reply to us? - the Metro Mayor has responsibility for post- 16 education, adult education, employability and skills across the region. All of which affect children and young people with SEND. You can have an EHCP until you are 25 you know?
250 children - represented by each of these flags outside City Hall. No specialist place when they should they have one. No extra support, oversight and no clear timescales or outcomes to resolve this. It's not good enough.
The final response to the FOI. If this was your child would this be an acceptable assurance? What development work? Timescales? Output measures? Service level agreement to keep in touch and to provide a service? Endeavours are not enough @MarvinJRees @helengt76

One of our group send an FOI about some of our manifesto demands around caseworkers and oversight support and of the 250 children without a specialist place. This is the reply we got. @MarvinJRees @helengt76 I think we can do better than this and I'm sure you do too.....
"I'm completely horrified by what I've heard..how did we get to this point? Provision of school places is a basic for the Council" says @AlastairWatson5. Investment in SEND is in the Conservative manifesto - and highlights the issue about rebuilding trust.
