IONNA has seen a number of CCS charging station handles, localized particularly in the Midwest, with a bent ground pin. This could cause subsequent damage to vehicles that would plug in after the affected car / adapter damaged the CCS connector. What they are doing to stop this spreading is really interesting: Daily health checks from an IONNA Employee in IN, IL, OH, MO Complete network / country wide connector physical health check at every site nearly complete just after a few days 😮 They have ordered every adapter available on the market to test and retest to make sure it’s not a problem that could be linked to a new part What you should do: - Inspect every connector / inlet before plugging into CCS. This could spread to all networks / stations if not caught in time - If you find a bent pin please tell me, @tommolog or @ionnaofficial and we will disable that connector and it’ll be replaced ASAP Right now this is impacting an incredibly small number of users but to squash the problem we’ve got to get ahead of the spread. Thanks! ionna.com/blog/an-update/

I’m wondering what made @McDonalds remove the customization of no ice in the app order flow? Half and half sweet tea lemonade now list no options to have no ice. @McFranchisee it’s the only drink I get besides coffee or water nowadays.

Forget emails. This stuff is exactly why you have the city attorney send it certified mail to the company and their attorney. The cities can’t be this new to the ball game. They’re 100% stalling it when then can mysteriously fix in hours or days but takes months to remove a cam.
Dayton, Minnesota voted 5 to 0 to cancel its Flock contract. August 25. Three weeks later Flock generated a maintenance work order. The city replied the next day. Program is on hold. No work orders. Flock reinstalled two cameras anyway. And put them in service. The city found out because residents noticed cameras back on the poles. Flock took five days to even acknowledge the cancellation. Then said removing the equipment would take 60 days. Installing them took a work order. Removing them takes two months. Plymouth had the same problem. Flock ignored the cancellation notice for almost two weeks. So the police chief walked over and unplugged the cameras himself. Crystal's police chief removed the cameras and the poles personally. They're sitting in a police garage now. Waiting for Flock to pick them up. Like a vendor who dropped off a couch and never came back for it. Flock's statement says they respect the cities' decisions. And they're working to have the cameras removed. Reports can't say if Flock ignored the order or if the message just never reached the install team. Which is somehow the better version. Either the company defied the city. Or the company doesn't know which of its own customers cancelled. Their CEO says the backlash isn't real. Five Minnesota cities just voted it into existence. And the cameras kept coming back like a bad subscription.

AA (get it?) "PHX Crew Meal Alert - Tiramisu Containing Alcohol The APA Aeromedical–HIMS Committee has been made aware of an issue affecting crews based in or transiting PHX. The contracted catering provider has included tiramisu containing alcohol on some crew meal trays. Because the dessert is not cooked after the alcohol is added, alcohol may remain in the finished product. We recommend that no crew member consume this dessert. APA cannot determine the amount of alcohol contained in an individual serving or what effect consumption could have if a crewmember were subsequently required to undergo DOT alcohol testing. Aeromedical is coordinating with the PHX Flight Office to have the item removed and replaced. Until that occurs, do not consume the tiramisu. Accepting an incomplete crew meal is preferable to risking the potential consequences associated with alcohol consumption while on duty. If you have already consumed the tiramisu and have concerns regarding your fitness for further flight, contact your APA domicile representatives immediately and do not allow schedule pressure to influence a fitness-for-duty decision. We will provide an update when the catering issue has been resolved."

Out maneuver? Man just say you support this. And if there’s pork in it than call that out instead. This left vs right stuff is losing the plot.
It would be absurd to bailout AI companies. Bad policy and horrible politics. I hope Republicans don’t let Democrats out maneuver them on this.

I was truly worried with this one, but I am truly so glad to say iPhone Duo supports Ethernet!

The comments begging grok to side with them is hilarious
Downtown Minneapolis just took a MASSIVE hit... The Royal Sonesta, an upscale 360 room hotel, just sold for just $5M - a BRUTAL 93% 'discount' from its $75M purchase price in 2018 That's just ~$14K per room, down from ~$208K just 8 years ago... Here's the interesting part: The location is genuinely prime by downtown Minneapolis standards It's an upscale, 4-star property in the HEART of DT Minneapolis, steps from Nicollet Mall and connected to the city's skyway system It's genuinely WILD seeing hotels like this being sold at 90%+ discounts, even knowing what's driving these sales... What does the future hold for Minneapolis? Stay tuned and follow for more commercial real estate deals trading at massive discounts

The regional fleet had an EoL service. They had no choice but to find something.
United Airlines CEO in new interview on @Starlink: "We were only going to do 65% of our fleet, but once we put it on our first aircraft, I got these anecdotes saying, 'I'm switching to flying regional 'cause it's got Starlink.' Then I was like, 'Holy cow, we gotta go all-in.'"

Alaska is going to fly a 737 from Anchorage to Tokyo. It's one of the most surprising route moves I've seen in years. The route just showed up on Alaska's website: Anchorage to Tokyo Narita, daily in summer, on a 737 MAX 8. Anchorage is offering about $500,000 in fee breaks to get it. Anchorage used to be the stop on the way to Tokyo. During the Cold War, flights between Europe and Japan refueled there because they couldn't cross the Soviet Union. Northwest flew Anchorage-Tokyo in the 1990s too. Once Russia opened its airspace and planes could fly farther, nobody needed the stop. So why now? In Tokyo you can connect to Japan Airlines, Alaska's partner, for the rest of Japan and Asia. And Anchorage doesn't have to fill the plane by itself. Alaska flew nonstop to Anchorage from 16 cities this summer, from Boston to Honolulu. I'd expect more of those, timed to connect to Tokyo. On paper it's 3,425 miles. Alaska's longest MAX 8 flight today is Seattle to Reykjavik at 3,611. But the shortest path runs right past Kamchatka and the Kuril Islands, and U.S. airlines can't fly over Russia. Swing around that and you're past 3,750 miles. The diversion airports on the way are places like Cold Bay and Adak. I also wanted to see what else a MAX 8 could reach from Anchorage. Sapporo, Sendai, Tokyo, and Nagoya are all closer than Seattle-Reykjavik. Osaka, Seoul, and Beijing only fit inside Boeing's 4,028-mile maximum, which is a best case. Shanghai and Taipei are out. If Tokyo works, Sapporo is the next one. It's 420 miles closer.

Everyone else in Amex Lounges is a low class reject. Not you, though. The $895 you paid made you more special.
I’m done with @AmericanExpress platinum card. It was worth $900 a year when you could get into lounges with it. There was some exclusivity. Now every low class reject gets in. An hour waitlist and then when you finally get in, it’s people on speakerphone, screaming, acting like it’s a Carnival cruise. Amex has been enshittified. I’ll save my 895 bucks a year.

Director: We have a client emergency. I am revoking your PTO for next week. Analyst: The PTO you approved in Workday four months ago? Director: Yes. Business needs changed. Everybody is working through the weekend. Analyst: Understood. Send me your department cost-center code. Director: For what? Analyst: For the $3,840 cancellation wire. Director: The company does not pay for your personal vacation. Analyst: Then you are going to have a problem with Finance.
