Interested in dendritic cell biology and/or IRE1 signaling? Ready for a new challenge in the city of Ghent? If the answer is 2x yes, please check the VIB website for open positions for a PhD student jobso.id/har5 and a postdoc jobso.id/har8 in the @JanssensLab
Happy to announce that our paper on my favorite UPR protein is out in @embojournal! Big thanks to @VIBEyckermanS and @JanssensLab for supporting me during this journey!
Check out the thread below :)
Great job by @ClootsEva and Phaedra from the Janssens lab! Happy to see their work out in @embojournal.
A fun and collaborative effort with @VIBEyckermanS and @SavvidesLab.

Beautiful morning to start our last day of #GESRC. Looking forward to the final days of fascinating talks! – at Steamboat Springs, CO
Happy to share this discovery that has been in the making since my PhD years. Who knew there was a tiny protein out there that can tame IRE1b all along 👌
Thanks @JanssensLab and @VIBEyckermanS for supporting me on this project!

Please help spreading! Looking for a postdoctoral fellow to implement and develop single-cell mass spectrometry-based proteomics in my lab! career012.successfactors.eu/….
Really happy to be able to meet with everyone from all VIB centers in person again! And big thanks to @VIBLifeSciences HQ for the inspiring program you assembled :)
Finally we're back together again for an on-site #VIBSeminar22. We missed you all and are glad to see so many of our community together again. We hope you enjoy this edition in Genk!
My poor colleagues had to listen to me stress out about the FWO grant interview for weeks, so I brought them some breakfast to celebrate it wasn't all for nothing 😏
@JanssensLab @InflamResCen @FWOVlaanderen
Beyond thrilled to share that I will be digging into the biology of UPR sensor IRE1β for three more years at @InflamResCen @VIBLifeSciences thanks to a postdoctoral fellowship from @FWOVlaanderen.
@JanssensLab let's do this! 😁🧬

About seven years ago I came eye to eye with a little protein called IRE1β when I joined the @Svennetti and @JanssensLab labs. Welcome to The Ins and Outs of IRE1β signaling: the Thesis Thread (1/16)

Mucus proteins are huge, so they’re really capable of clogging the ER. If the ER is clogged, nothing comes through. This would be problematic in the intestine, as we really need the ER to produce a nice mucus layer to separate pathogens from our intestine. (15/16)
