I had Isaiah Malone (Prairie Heights H.S. 2023) ranked #101 in the Class of 2023 here in Indiana.
Last night he had 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots for UCF @ Rupp Arena against Kentucky.
I post this for two reasons (neither of which are meant to be self-serving)...
1) If you think you are being "slept on" it is okay to run your own race. Malone went to Saint Francis and had a good freshman year, GREAT sophomore year, transferred to FGCU where he was ASun Defensive Player of the Year, and now is in the Big 12. However, it is also important to remember that you probably aren't Isaiah Malone and that is OKAY.
2) The fact that he is in the Big 12 NOW doesn't mean the ranking/evaluation was wrong THEN. Went to a NAIA out of high school at 6'6" 185 pounds. Suited up last night at 6'9" 220 pounds.
LOVE seeing Indiana guys pop up all over the country at the collegiate level!

I continue to be impressed by the development of Joe Kanyinda (Kokomo H.S. 2027). He gets a little better every time I see him play.
The 6’9” center has always had a good motor, the obvious size, and bounciness at the rim.
His hands are really coming along & finishes better.
