This is the dip and rise in action: pressure on top of the bag forces the defender to drop, rise through contact, then squeeze and clamp the side flaps with the shoulder and chest. The tight arrowhead connection locks the tackle in @RichieGrayGSI
Cross over way to teach THUD and TUC finishes:
✅ Working Hips to Grips
✅Low to high weight displacement
✅Leading with shoulder follow with feet
✅Pressure to top of @RichieGrayGSI equipment forces pads to drop
✅🎾 in hand for grip

Important to develop the near-side pec/shoulder junction—the front-inside shoulder where the upper pec and front delt meet. Banded punches strengthen this area to help players deliver a powerful, stable shoulder through contact and maintain position. Deliver the contact!

@RichieGrayGSI bags demand dominant contact, a crushing grip & a complete finish. Use grip bars to force precise hand placement. Add fatigue to expose weak technique. The rep isn’t finished at contact—make them secure, control & finish every tackle. Never give easy reps.
