My son is officially a Hite. Caught a one hop rocket and then proceeded to throw it in the crapper 25 feet above first baseman #noDNAtestneeded
Been with @Verizon since 1999. Yep. 1999. The loyalty discount is now jacked, dropped calls every single day and bill has doubled. Loyalty means nothing- so no use in keeping an inferior product. Enjoy the bill on 9/20- it’ll be the last dollar you ever get from me.

Reminder for catchers to PREPARE the umpire for the pitcher you are catching. Give the umpire a quick scouting report on your guys arsenal. FB movement, shape of breaking ball, what area of zone he is most effective, ect. Want to make sure umpire not caught off guard by a pitch because of how it plays. Example: “Hey Tim (Umpire) this reliever Nolan Ryan has an explosive FB at top of the zone. Where we plan to live. CB is a hammer 12-6 shape. Will use change vs lefties that sinks. Hasn’t walked anyone since he was 12 yrs old.” Exchange can be quick. Main thing is to make sure ump is not caught off guard by a pitch in a big situation.
These two teams hate each other…. And now someone just got domed. Might not want to turn the TV off this one.

The standard isn’t supposed to be easy.
The standard isn’t supposed to be convenient.
The standard isn’t supposed to be comfortable.
The standard isn’t supposed to be normal.
The standard requires that we make a choice: will we live our feelings or our standard?

I texted a coach this morning and asked how the new job was going after about a month.
His response was one I’ve heard many times… and lived myself:
“Not bad. Some kids pushing back culture wise. Always worried about staff and numbers.”
If you go into a program and start making the changes that need to be made, be ready for pushback.
That’s normal.
My advice to him:
Water the good grass.
Don’t let the weeds hold you hostage.
Too many coaches start looking the other way because they want to keep players and coaches happy.
They convince themselves they can slowly change the culture.
It doesn’t work that way. Culture doesn’t drift in the right direction. It moves toward the standard you enforce.
Stay strong to your principles.
The right grass will grow. 🌱🏈

That’s clearly Waffle House. I can feel myself sliding as I walk in, about to hammer an All-Star special… just looking at this picture.
Probably not a bad idea…

“Look mister, there's two kinds of dumb... the guy that gets naked and runs out in the snow and barks at the moon, and the guy who does the same thing in my living room. The first one don't matter, and the second one you're kinda forced to deal with.”
Just stumbled on book by @ClintHurdle13 and I’m hooked one chapter in. I’ve taken two pages of notes for meetings with my guys already. Highly recommend it!
