A young pitcher comes off the mound after a rough inning. He already knows it was bad.
He doesn’t need a coach yelling at home or a 5-minute speech. Give him one adjustment, show him you still trust him, and get him ready for the next inning.

One thing I’d change in youth baseball tomorrow:
✅Less coaching EVERY pitch!
✅Let kids think!!
✅Let them make decisions!!!
✅Let them fail‼️
🔥Then ASK them why they made the decision instead of immediately telling them what they did wrong.
We say we want high baseball IQ players…
then sometimes we never let them think for themselves.

Baseball will test your identity.
One day you’re the guy.
Next day you’re 0-for-12, getting hit around or sitting on the bench.
If your identity is completely tied to performance, this game will eat you alive.
Work hard. Compete. Care deeply.
But understand:
You are more than your statistics.
That’s something my faith has helped me understand more as I’ve gotten older.

One of the biggest recruiting mistakes I see is chasing the NAME on the front of the jersey instead of the OPPORTUNITY.
Where can you play?
Where can you develop?
Where does the coaching staff believe in you?
